I can't imagine that ever happening today with all the work that you've done with the bison. Spending all that time this year moving them from pasture to pasture... mostly without cubes. They have come to learn how to follow you and know that you are taking them each time to a better pasture. So much positive reinforcement. You have seen how all your hard work has paid off!! It takes a village was an understatement on this one. You all did a perfect job of not stressing the animals and herding them toward home. Everyone did exactly what needed to be done and got them back home. This one was exciting, but I know how stressed you all must have been. Poor Cole going through the snake area! Everyone deserves a high five for this one. Fantastic job everyone.

The bison misunderstood Princess Eleanor message to them. She told them, "just like you I get cubes every week. They thought she said, come over and get cubes THROUGH THE CREEK." LOL😅 I'm glad y'all got the herd home on the range back safely. 😊
I remember when they did their escape
Glad you were able to get the entire bison herd home and nobody (people or bison) was hurt. Part of ranching that fences will break and the animals will test them. Great teamwork from Marissa, friends and neighbors.
Oh I remember when I was in grade school and all 5 of us children walked the neighbors cows home, we got back and Dad says “ You know the bull was in there!”

I would put some panels reinforced by cables across that creek. It might catch some debris but the herds wont get out that way.

have to say love watching them out. When they got out not sure which herd think about a year ago. you can tell how far you have come in dealing with them. more importantly the amazing interaction you have with them. Like a mutual respect for each other. these huge amazing animals. You guys are amazing.

So glad there all safe. I would put steel Rods into the ground to stop them at the creek like you do T Posts stop them from crossing. Cattle panels do not seem to be working. .bnice job everyone who helped get them back on the ranch. God bless all of you

Probably be best to take the cattleguard out because it obviously doesn’t stop them. It just makes it harder to get them back in when they do get out.

Our area had some escape in central NY state and they were lost for a few months before they got them back 😂

Maybe what you need to do is get a game hunting camera that uses a cellphone card and stick it where your vulnerable at.
Also, mabe condition them with a certain vehicle horn when you feed them cubes.
