Thank you for mentioning Pizza Head. I remember those commercials from when I was little.
@AnimeGirl4891 Oh, you're welcome! Pizza Head was a classic. Any specific Pizza Head commercial that stands out in your memory?
They're NOT "sponge monkeys," but spong monkeys, and I think they were rather good.
@bryang1105 Fair point! Were there specific elements in the Spong Monkeys ads that you found particularly entertaining or effective?
I always enjoyed Pizza Hut's Pizza Head commercials. They were pretty creative in their ads and how Pizza Head would meet his demise at the end of each ad. These ads also helped introduce me to Mr. Bill.
@ThePirateprincess23 Pizza Hut's Pizza Head commercials were absolute classics! It was like a mini comedy show with every ad!
I thought the Quiznos' mascots were chinchillas 😅
@VersieKilgannon Haha, chinchillas as Quiznos' mascots would be adorable!
I remember the Mac Tonight mascot. Definitely weird. 🌛
And also Trippy and it's like it's the Embodiment of the Moon when you're H I G H !
@@Vista0279 Hold on a Minute!
I Remember you!
It's been a While Since we Last Seen Each Other!
How are you Going?
@motownman383 Right? That Mac Tonight guy was something else! What struck you as the weirdest part about him?
I always called the wake up with the king comercials stalker king
@mochanutpayne8396 Stalker King, that's a hilarious nickname! What was it about those "Wake Up with the King" commercials that gave off that vibe?
@@BabbleTop the fact he was in peoples houses watching them sleep or staring in the window watching them sleep
The original Ronald McDonald was creepy af.
@COMPFUNK2 Right? The OG Ronald McDonald was on a whole different level of creepy!
Babbble in da house y'all👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Do you walk around in real life with your thumbs up saying "in da house y'all" to everyone you see?
Willard Scott as Ronald McDonald was definitely off-putting.
Burger King was an odd one, for the longest time all we had was a crown, no actual physical Avatar.
Jack in the Box has always been my favorite
Why was the old ronald so creepy looking?
@renamon5658 Great question! The old Ronald McDonald was indeed a bit unsettling.
That 1960,s KFC ad wasn't as bad as the cartoonish Colonel Sanders they use today which tarnished the real Harland Sanders image as a down home, folksy honest man
@user-sp6jk3zz5b Fair observation! Were there specific traits or characteristics in the original Harland Sanders that you think are missing in the current cartoonish version?
Interesting, but I wish there was more of each commercial instead of the constant cutting in and out of movie clips. I couldn't really get the "flavor" or what these commercials were about.
Hey, I liked the Pizza Head show.
@COMPFUNK2 Awesome! Pizza Head was a hit. Any particular episode or moment from the Pizza Head show that stands out as your favorite?
When talking about the Burger King mascot, should the script say "interactions" when it meant to say "iterations"?
@johnd.9 Oh, good catch! Interactions and iterations are pretty different. What was the context, and which term do you think fits better when talking about the Burger King mascot?
@@BabbleTop it was talking about the BK mascot, how it started as a king on the store sign. Then became a person in a suit, which made a comeback after the turn of the century. The context said that there were "different interactions" but should have said "different versions" or in my mind "different iterations".
Awesome long video. Clowns have always creeped me out anyway.🤡
@JaneDoe-ov1hb Totally get it! Any specific clown encounters or experiences that intensified your aversion to them?
I think that KFC one is great!
@lynx002ca Awesome to hear! Is there a particular fast-food scandal or story you'd want me to dive into next?
Again, Joe Avella was in the video! Also, hire me! I’ll take it!
Re: Herb: IIRC there was also an incident where a 17-year-old spotted Herb eating at a Burger King and pointed it out. He never got the cash prize because he was under 18, although the rules did not specify this. The guy and his family sued the chain and lost, but it gave them another black eye.
@chrisnemec5644 Woah, that's wild! What was the whole deal with Herb at Burger King, and why did the 17-year-old not get the cash prize?
@@BabbleTopI don't really remember. I think it was because he was 17.
BabbleTop can you do a Top 23 Nastiest, Meanest and Worst Fast Food Managers.
@ProfessorDreamer Oh, that's quite a list! Will definitely make sure to do that in the future!
Spongemonkeys ugh
I had a freind who worked as a buyer for Shakey's. His job was to use samples of each vendor's products to make test pizzas to make sure they were acceptable.
@@RealBigBadJohn The last I heard about him, he owns a radio station in Indiana.
@@RealBigBadJohnHe was an avid CBer. That's how I first met him. His younger sister rode my school bus, so I asked her about the double, stack Moonraker antennas and tower behind their home. She told me they were her brother's. After a while I was invited to meet him. He worked skip overnight, when possible. This was when California had what were called 'The California Kilowatts' who ran crappy high power linears to cover most of the US. We were in SW Ohio.
