WIN my PT Cruiser ....I mentioned giving away the white 2010 PT Cruiser in a raffle. I bought this car from a customer that didn't want to repair it. The timing belt broke and it ended up with bent valves (see past PT cruiser videos) I bought it from the owners and we removed the cylinder head, to have the valves replaced. It received a new water pump and timing belt as well as several other repairs. I want to raffle it away to a subscriber of the channel soon. We are creating custom limited run "PT Loser" (because Pt Cruiser have been affectionately nicknamed "PT Losers"...it's a joke) hats and T-shirts that will be available in the merch store at RainmanRaysRepairs.com I'm thinking of using a hat or shirt purchase as an entry/ticket to win the white PT. What do you think? Comment below. TO be clear, the giveaway has not started yet...this is the concept phase. Sorry I can’t ship it out of the US
also available for germany ? 😇
Ray, I believe you did it again. I Love your idea. I vote that you go for it.
I once said that you couldn't give me a PT Cruiser. Still can't!
Ray that’s an awesome idea,I’m sure there’s a needy family out there somewhere that could use a revamped car, especially one that you’ve repaired, more credit to you fella👍👍👍
i have herd
PT Cruiser for Losers
PT Loser Cruiser
PT Bruiser
I bet you still forgot the hammer...🤣
Ray either forgot or is trolling us
I was wondering myself. 🤔
I bet is trolling us 😂😂
I think the truck hadn’t sunk, and he ran over his snap-on hammer!😅
I think he ran over the hammer too.
Admin days shed light on the little things that have to be done, but few think about. You are definitely a busy man, and blessed with a wife that shares and supports your vision. That, my friend, is gold!
Didn't look too happy today😒🤐🤮
@@DonaldWells-wk8dc She can't get that waste-of-time-and-money Jeep out of her mind....
Ray, I hope that you removed your hammer from the tire before moving the tow truck. I Love admin days. Have a Great weekend and an enjoyable Holiday with the Family Unit.
I love how the first response to a car not working is usually to jiggle the gear lever
got to make sure the thing’s not in gear, we all do it, even though our foot is firmly on the clutch to take out the power train, when starting diesels.
I hope you get your tow truck up and running soon , Why ? ‘cos I like it !
It kinda reminds me of what we do with stubborn toilets too 😂
Hey Ray, did you ever get the hammer off the tire of the flat bed before moving it, just curious 😊. Great video that don't always have to be repairs.
I love your rudimentary rhyming skills !
I’m a rap master 🤣
A HAMMER mechanic is the best. Bang on Ray.
I wear my safety Crocs every time I am in my shop, especially the fuzzy ones ! As a now retired mechanic of 45 years I now buy and flip vehicles. I completely rehab them. I am OCD and meticulous in my work. I love that you "usually" are to !
Need an admin day here and there to get things sorted to keep things running smoothly. Merry Christmas Ray, Lauren and the kiddos! Also Dave!
Dang it Ray, ain't gonna lie I jumped with the explosion right about the time I was expecting an arc. The I was like "hey don't forget about the hammer".. Merry Christmas from me and my family to yours brother.
You made me drop my phone when the did the explosion 💥 scared the hell out of me
Your silverado is a wellbuildt masterpiece ! Love all of the different poweroutlets, and all the things you done to it.
Hey Ray, the 3126 cat motor was installed in my year 2000 Tradewinds motorhome. Never had a bit of trouble with it and glad I sold it before it needed anything!😊 Thanks for taking your time to video for us ! Merry Christmas!
The idea of buying a hat or shirt as an entry into the raffle is a good idea. Means you get something other than just a paper ticket.
Love the admin days it shows what it actually takes to run a business. Great work Ray!!
Ray needs a helper robot that follows him out to the parking lot with spare parts and stuff. Kind of like… R2D2! 😀
For a few years. He'll have the two footed kind. However, they cost even more when they pass the 'lets help Dad' phase and want more pay then food.
And pick up the hammer on the wheel before he drove off. Yes I know its probably click bait.
Every good mechanic knows ,you always hit the starter with a quality Hammer to check if it will start😮 love the explosion part😅😅good job Ray.Crooks for the WIN😅 HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AT RAY'S PLACE.🎉🎉
That explosion made me jump!!!!😱
LMAO! I loved the special effects! Still chuckling here.
Merry Christmas to Ray, his family and all the Rainman Ray’s community!
That Jeep really has ‘potential’. Spend $5,000 and it could be worth as much as $500.
"Tonka Troy"😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hi Ray, just wanted to say I hope you and the wife unit and the kids have a fantastic Christmas and New Year, hope you have a good one. 🇬🇧
Rayy!!!!!MadddddRespect, Dude!!!!! You needin’ a super-duper toolie?!! Keeps all you tools exsensive or not inn clean, neat, organized fastion and ALWAYS WORKING AND LOOKING BEAUTIMOUS!!!!!!How ‘bout it, Ray???
Just love what you call a "cold start" Hmmmph! I once had a cold start for my band's bus. It was so cold the key wouldn't even turn in the ignition switch. I had to get out our hibachi, fill it with charcoal, put it under the oil pan to warm it up so we could get to the next show. Had to use three bags of charcoal and a metal shield above the hibachi. It took four hours until it would turn over enough to start! We made the show in spite of the weather giving us a cold start to the day. Just another day up in Canada (Northern Ontario to be exact). The temperature that day was 37 below Fahrenheit. Now that's a "cold Start"
P.S. Love your channel and your work. Only problem I have is I don't see you replacing the oil drain plug gasket when you do oil changes. I'm an old Journeyman Partsman and the part number for the gasket from GM is 14090908, and that's from memory as I'm 81 years old and more than 15 years out of the business. I remember part numbers but not peoples names LOL!
Don
Good luck in the New Year, and have a Merry Christmas.
"bang on the starter with something"...... lol! I have been hearing that phrase since 1960! lol
just a normal day Ray, ticks all the boxes.... Ray, Lauren and kid units have a happy and peaceful Christmas
Ray, your truck incredibly amazing. Learned a lot watching you modify your ride..
TY! It’s purpose built and some don’t see the value in its capabilities
YEE HAW A field test of Ray's Mobile Power Solutions!
Admin stuff may not be the most exciting, but, we get it. It is a necessity. I get sad on the days there is no new Rainman post. I’ll take what i can get. The raffle is a great idea.
Merry Christmas to you and the Wife Unit, of course the rest of the family too!!
Hey Ray, love the videos! Keep doing what your are doing. Also, HAMMER!
That 04 just needs a miracle. I guess as long as it runs it’s better than nothing though.
Did you ever get the hammer?!?!? Yeah, loved the Admn. Day......great idea to give away the PT Cruiser!
Good day Ray
Happy holiday greetings from the Netherlands
that made me jump ray when you pretended to flash the cable, you naughty ray you!
We watch because we are interested in what you do. It's not all diag and pulling cars apart in running a successful business. Plus everyone loves a behind the scenes vid. Ray have you any intentions on working with hybrid or electric cars. As you have a way of teaching without teaching and i wont be the only one who will say that my knowledge has increased exponentially by watching and listening to you. Happy Christmas and a very suscessful 2024.
An admin day is a good way to close off the week before the holiday. Hope you and the family have a good time together. See you back here next week.
Ray puts it in neutral and wiggles the shifter. Truck doesn’t start. Ray grabs shifter and wiggles the heck out of it again. It’s a man thing. We have to constantly grab the shifter and wiggle it even though it’s been in neutral since the first time.🤣🤣
I’ve tapped on a starter a few times and it works.
I love every video. Even project caddy dually
Hey, look a squirrel.
I’m with the “Wife Unit” on the Jeep. 😂
The explosion was epic. Merry Christmas to the rain man clan
That, with the explosion, was very good, Ray! Well done. About the amps. Your head has 1 amp inside, that is always added to the reading :)
I think the proper thing to say when putting the bare wires under the cable....is...."we are just going to put these back and pretend we didn't see that" someone will get where that's from
“Well, I’ll be dipped”😂
I found this video utterly moving!
Loved the touching the positive cable to ground and the explosion video. That was perfect.
Haha, made me jump!
Safety crocks go well with the safety squints.
I think a giveaway for the PT Cruiser is a good idea. My mom's handicapped and hasn't had her own vehicle for 15 years. She just drives mine if needed, but it would be nice if she had her own car. She always tells me she'll never have a car again, so trying to win her your Cruiser would be fun.
Cold start. The grass is green. Nothing cold about that.
So glad you have a yard kitty.
Oh and about the jeep prank, how was it sleeping outside with the dog? 😎
oh i thought the jeep was a joke...🤣
I worked on an aircraft under seat power supply design. The aircraft generator makes 115VAC 400 Hz that is transformer rectified to 28 VDC. The in seat supply converts 28VDC to 115VAC 60Hz, so your passenger power supply can convert to 5VDC USB cell phone or 5V laptop supply.
So, why don't they just run the 115V 400Hz AC directly to the outlets? Modern switching PSUs can handle that just fine from what I know
Don't forget that your Hammer is over there where you just drove over it. Unless you remembered it and didn't mention it
Nothing like the "Silverado Shuffle" on a Tuesday morning 🤣🤣🤣 I was pretty Amped up seeing the auxiliary power system in action. 👍
Brroooo ot the safety crocs 😂 MINT
I will take the pt cruiser I need another one
Ray the Mjolnir, you forgot the Mjolnir!!!!
I enjoyed the video. Should have backed in though. Easier to access the battery when you jump it again in 4 months. 😊
Dude, please save us from the scrap yard project. I'm with the Wife on this one.
It’s a jeep thing…
@@HEYMLO 🙂Sometimes it's better to let old wrecks die gracefully, and that thing is definitely a wreck. No interior worth talking about, skirt panels rotting, probably the subframe is knackered, exterior needs a complete overhaul, and we have no idea how crap the engine/gearbox/Diff is going to be. RIP old banger. Rest in peace.
@@capnpugwash5403 all valid points, but … its a jeep : )
Loving the mods on the auxiliary power unit complete with pop up lid. Awesome job. Paying for itself and getting you out of trouble. Merry Xmas and a prosperous new year to you and the wife unit from Colchester the UK.
happy holiday to you and your family!
*14:34** R.I.P @RainmanRaysRepairs*
That extension cord is probably 16 ga, good for only 13 amps. Of course it was hot!
Crocks with socks? I'm so glad I dropped out of the "Trending" generation decades ago. Good to see you following suit.
Love the sound effects
Happy Christmas to you and your family. From all the UK viewers.
1:32 Junkyard CAT!! Name him Agent Jack Bauer!
I like admin day.
Something that you're going to park for weeks on end you could always throw a cut off switch in to manually power off the batteries to help save charge
Excellent video as always Ray, could of used some 4 non blondes but hey, its more of a dream at this point...LOL
Yeah, project Jeep has potential. Energy if you run off a cliff.
BTW the hammer?
Stuff is starting to look more like Ray's reclamation center and scrap yard.
lol @ Rays Reclomation & Repair Facility
Hammer time. Happy Christmas Eve Eve.
Merry Christmas As Always Love any of your vids you can do. Thank You.
GREAT EXPLANATION!!!! SO... WHO´S ON FIRST THEN??? 😂😂😂😂
One of those noco jumppacks would be handy to have for the shop
I’d be interested in either of those LB7 trucks. Need a dually in my life more though!
With all respect, I think we should all start calling you Rudolph [as in the reindeer] cause everyone [...well some] were giving you grief about your Duramax power station being overkill. Now you had the chance to put the hard work and extra parts to actual use as intended. :) I love it.
You forgot that hammer? didn't you? ;) LoL just messing with you. Very good admin day.
Awesome video of doing your job moving vehicles around
Merry Christmas and God bless
I like that PT Cruiser......but i am a long drive away 😂
YOU ARE THE PTCruiser whisperer
Ray, a lot of YuTubers are doing the merch raffles on cars right now. Great idea and winning gets you down next to the Freedom Factory.
I heard about the trailhawk earlier, I want it 🤣
get a few 7 watt solar panels with a built in charge controller and a lighter plugs. when a car or truck is going set a couple weeks just lay the solar panel on the roof and plug in the lighter cord and it will keep the battery charged or recharge a low battery.
I think after you teased the wife and you bought the Jeep you need to start the project to make her see the potential Merry Christmas
Thank you
135th! Hope you’re having a wonderful Saturday morning Ray and the wife unit. But never forget about the new employees! Roger in Pierre South Dakota
not gonna lie, i jumpped when you touched the pos to the frame
Fascinating 👏🏾
LC From Chicago 😎
I was wondering what was going on with the tow truck - will be nice to see that back together. I find the "admin" stuff interesting as we live vicariously through you as part of the shop crew. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
You otta call triple Ray for the tow truck 😎
15:50 DAMMIT WHY DID THIS SCARE ME SO BAD DAMN YOU RAY
Errrrm It was going good right up until I 💩💩 Myself when you added that Explosion!! Sheeeesh What a Syrup reaction lol 😂😂😂
Snap-on hammer is now part of the parking lot lol.
Marine two stroke oil is a good injector cleaner that won't harm the solenoids.
I love your Silverado, all the modifications on it, just shows you look after a vehicle and it will never die out , merry Christmas to you and your family and don’t forget dave
Merry Christmas to you and your fam. 🎄
As to the PT cruiser, you might consider doing a local HS give away to a deserving student who needs it, or some other local charity. But make sure you have all the legal paperwork in place. Remember, no good deed goes unpunished!
