"Meri Awaz Suno" (1996) was one of the first national level televised music reality shows conducted in India jointly by "Doordarshan" and Yash Chopra's "Metavision".
Pradip Somasundaran and Sunidhi Chauhan won the "Lata Mangeshkar" trophies for the best male and female singers of India in 1996. The mega final was judged by "Lata Mangeshkar", "Pandit Jasraj", "Manna Dey" and "Bhupen Hazarika".
