We were going to be the first squadron to Parade again since COVID started, but it only went to the top 5 flights. It sucks but I’m proud to have graduated as 324 TRS FLT 250.

I graduated BMTS in October of 1972 and I got to see two of my sons graduate BMTS years later..still neat to see..There were a lot more of us in the Vietnam Days.
Way better uniforms than the Marines but i deeply respect the Marine who wears the Uniform as with every other service member of the United States Armed Forces.
+Black Onyx You're the first person I have EVER seen say such a thing lol. This blue leisure doesn't even compare to the other services, especially the Marines. I marched my graduation parade on that same field in January 1982, when it was still known only as Lackland AFB, and not "Joint Base, Lackland". It was cold January day even for Texas, and we wore Class A uniforms as well. It was one of the proudest days of a career I consider the best decision I ever made, and the "Best Job I Ever Had." Once an Airman, always an Airman. But also as an old NCO-- even all these long years after my time in Air Force Blue-- I still retain the right, the military bearing, and the earned-authority to instruct and counsel those who lack requisite skill and knowledge. Thus, I call-out those complaining about the formations, the uniform, the marching, etc., and even the band in many of the previous comments here. For the record, we've given you your hearing. Now check your judgment. Unless you have experienced this as a graduate/Veteran in this particular formation or have graduated in similar fashion in another proud U.S. military service branch, your opinion has no merit and no place here. Only Americans who have worn the Air Force, Army, Marine, Navy, Coast Guard, or Merchant Marine uniform, have the right to make any complaints, as they have already demonstrated greater qualities of courage, sacrifice, and discipline, and are cut of a finer cloth than the slouchy 'never served' cowards who snipe from a spectator's position on the sidelines. It is U.S. military members, Veterans, and especially our honored fallen brothers and sisters who have safeguarded your right to free speech. But while you are entitled to being heard, we neither have to accept nor tolerate your classless disrespect. If you can't at the very least remain silent, then find another page to deface. You don't belong here. B. Whitmore, formerly TSgt, USAF, Cold War & Desert Storm-era Veteran, 8 Dec '81-10 Jul '96.
Well, it's about 60% of people in the U.S. that need vision correction. Age isn't really that big of a factor. I mean, when you are older, but most eye correction isn't from deterioration. It's from the shape of the eye.
This must have been filmed over the winter season. I know that if we had worn our dress blues during the height of summer, there would have been many an Airman kissing the ground. And yes, I was in the Honor Flight 212!
I wasn’t allowed to be in the 1972 pass and review, Flight 1399, Squadron 03 because my parents weren’t able to come so I had to perform dorm guard duties at the barracks while the ceremony was going on. I am proud of each Squadron graduating.
Finished basic December 1970. 3702 sqdn, flt 1297. We never had any of this graduation stuff, ust got to outprocess, then on to our tech schools, then most of us got sent to SE Asia.
What no one knows, is that during this parade, there is fucking pollen flying towards your face. The grass is freshly cut, so you got all this fucking grass on your nose, and u want to so hard to wipe your nose and ur face but u cant. As well as the sensation to make u fucking sneeze, but u cant move a fucking inch. Best memory ever, best day of my life :)
My, how time flies. 52 years ago I graduated basic at Lackland. I really don't remember much about it. Then tech school of 11 months at Lowry followed by 1 year at Moody where I got my 5 level. Then a year at sunny/rainy Danang RVN.

My graduation was in September 1979 . March past viewing stand eye's right, More marching. Back to the dorm. Next morning off to teach school, Sheppard AFB to be trained as a telephone linesman / cable splicer. Then off to Norton AFB, California. That's it. Oh, One thing, That marching band need's more practice.

Hello, I am trying to arrange a trip to watch my nephew graduate BMT. His enlistment date is June 16, 2015. The length of BMT was recently changed and the is the "week 0" which also counts. Can you please tell me either the anticipated graduation date for him, or what was the enlistment date of the Mar. 7 2014 group. Thank you
His graduation will be August 7th. It was just shortened from 8.5 to 7.5 weeks. I was one of the last flights in the 8.5 week program. But if he starts on June 16 and he doesn't get recycled or put in med hold he will graduate on August 7th.
I graduated from USAF training in late july, 1963. Our 'graduation ceremony' was 'catch the bus over there' That was it, no parade, no ceremony, no acknowledgement of our effort, work, success. Just 'catch the bus over there'. This video is very disappointing, the audio is terrible, sounds like shes in a hall, the band sounds like all they have are trumpets and one big drum. At least they had a ceremony, but they really need to improve this.
+Jim Mulhearn You're hearing audio through what, computer speakers? A mobile device? The band flight is made up of trainees who have any musical experience and play the best they can with little rehearsal. And FYI, a bass drum and trumpet will carry further than other percussion or band instruments, e.g. a flute. That's why it sounds like that. This field is enormous and PA has to carry the length so that everyone can hear clearly. And guess what, you can. If you attended one in person everything would sound fine.
+Enoch T Thanks for the update, at least that makes sense now. I wish I could make the trip to a graduation down there (I'm from Chicago and not a chance), maybe you're right but the lack of a ceremony after graduation will always be one my disappointments in life.

The first ceremony is the coin ceremony where they receive the Airman's coin and can be officially called an Airman. This is the final ceremony where they are graduating from basic training all together. The coin ceremony just gives them the title Airman similar to how marines receive the globe at the end of the crucible yet still have a ceremony after. Hope this clarifies a little im not an expert though so things can be wrong.
Austin Jones jrotc is a program in high school of 3 to 4 years depending on what type of program the school has like me we have a 3 year program consisting of grades 10 to 12 if you complete 2 years you get 1 stripe when you enlist and if you complete the program all the way you get your 2nd stripe e-3
GodfatherGaming1 so this year (my junior yea)r im joining a program were i join this march that way i know my job when i join, so will that get me a stripe?
It actually depends on your contract. Almost all guard members will come in as E3s (like me) because they signed a 6 year contract. Basically an incentive to sign longer. While most active will be E1s because they signed for 4 years, although some active will be E3s if they signed for 6 years.

@gcm747 its pretty common to see 1 stripe or 2 stripers when graduating basic. They signed a 6 year contract instead of 4 or they had some college or rotc stuff like that. For ribbons, 2 are automatically awarded when you graduate (national defense & basic graduation ribbon) and you can get another 2-3 depending on your performance (honor graduate and rifleman).
