GREAT recipe Robin, it really does not get any easier than that AND back to Petaluma again! !! !!! I do like that it firms up in the freezer, so many recipes are still soft serve or just a tad firmer.
Hi Ernest, the written recipe is below the video in the description area. Click where it says "show more" on a desk top. If you are on your phone, there is an arrow right below the video on the right side. Click that and scroll down. Hope that helps.
I love it!! I do have a few questions. Why type of sweetened condensed milk did you use, carnations? How would/could you make sugar free? And last I have an electric ice cream maker, would I just mix the cream and milk and add it? That's how we do regular ice cream. I'm excited to try this 😋
You can use Carnations. Their ingredients are pretty straight forward (clean). I don't know off the top of my head how to make it sugar free. I would maybe consider using date paste but I've never tried it. For your last question, I believe so. Thanks for stopping in!
Looks delicious 😋 I've seen other cookies n cream recipes where they take all the cream out & mix it in with other things, while crushing just the cookies. So, I was wondering if you'd tried mixing the cream in with the sweetened condensed milk. Also - thank you for the lemon ice cream recipe & other lemon ones! I love lemon desserts, so you made my day with those, especially the curd one 😋🥰
Glad you like those lemon recipes! I did not mix the cream from the cookies into the sweetened condensed milk. I figured there was enough sugar in this recipe.
Question: When I've made in this in the past (different recipe) I ended up with rock hard ice cream. How can I avoid this? Looking forward to trying your recipe! This flavor is my girlfriends favorite and so I want to get it right.
Hard to say why your ice cream ended up rock hard. Try my recipe exactly as I make it with the amazing or equally amazing heavy whipping cream and see what happens. I did leave my ice cream out for 5 - 10 minutes before serving.
Ice cream is dessert so "healthy" is probably not the best word to use, however, have you read the labels on most store bought ice creams? We are talking carrageenan, gums, corn syrup, artificial flavors and colors etc. Like I said in the video, I used quality ingredients to make this as healthy as possible. Straus vanilla is a pretty clean brand so you can find them, but you just have to look at their labels. Anyway, this is probably more information than you wanted but I thought I would respond. Thanks for watching.
Absolutely love this!!! Looking forward to making my own 🥰
Thanks for sharing!!!
You are very welcome Cindy! I appreciate the comment.
Fantastic! Thank you. 👍
Thanks for stopping in to comment Charlie! Glad you like it. Did I mention how wonderful that heavy whipping cream is? lol.

Petaluma is a nice place! This ice cream firmed up nicely, in fact a little hard to scoop right out of the freezer!
I had chocolate ice cream and cookies the other night... So grateful...❤
Thank you for this healthy and delicious recipe.
Sounds delicious!! Can you create the Baskin Robbins coconut ice cream, it is delicious!! It has almonds, pecans and walnuts, I think!
Sounds great! I'll check it out.
What a great recipe! My favorite flavor would be Buttercrunch.
This looks great as we are in close to summer months. I will be sure to try this recipe of Icecream. Thank you very much.
I looked for the recipe to the Cookies and Cream icecream but wasn't able to see it.

Robin this sounds heavenly..did try the tomato tortillas and they actually are good ..made the recipe nice and tasty..
Great to hear Beverlee!
Delicious! No need to ever buy cookies and cream ice cream again.
Not only that, the ingredients are cleaner when you make this. No preservatives, artificial flavors or thickeners. It’s even fun to make!
3:37 "unbelibible" 😂
Yum yum! 🥰❤️

Thanks Robin! After sampling the ice cream, do we need to keep the plastic wrap on when returning it to the freezer?
I would as it helps to keep the ice from forming. Of course you could try removing it and see how it goes.
awesome recipe, really great stuff.
the jokes... yeah.
My dad told me to tell you all a joke! lol. Luckily they only take a minute. 😀
Look good not able to eat ice cream anymore.
Thanks for stopping in Karen. That's a bummer tho. It's an indulgence that I don't eat very often.
You lost me at sweetened condensed milk…🤦♀️
I know, a lot of sugar. The things I do for my sons!
You lost me at healthy 😅
