Those were decent little compacts, but the parts support wasn't the best. That & Ford was all over the compact/subcompact market at that time. Ford's xx00 xx10 & xx20 series compacts were everywhere around here. If I saw a Bolens that size, it was at a tractor show (Farm Progress Days, etc.) or at an auction. That being said, Port Washington is only 20 min. from here & I never saw one in use or for sale at a dealer. Any other Bolens product, there were plenty of. The larger garden tractors were exceptionally popular with the mounted tiller & snow thrower. Used to see a lot of the smaller articulated riders, too. Those were in the towns & cities for the most part. The rest of the balance would be Cub Cadet, Deere & Simplicity.
