Shohei Ono born 3 February 1992 is a Japanese judoka.
Ono is regarded as one of judo's top fighters, having won two World Championships and an Olympic gold medal. He has been the lightweight division's most dominant fighter, having remained unbeaten internationally since 2015. Specializing in uchi mata, he is known for his classical technique and all ippon style. He holds one of the highest ippon rates in judo. Ono is also one of the most searched judokas on the Internet.

I used to train at 2 different bjj schools. All the guys were scared of judokas. None of them knew how to fall. As a Shodan, I couldn't help but laugh my ass off at these brazilians trying to teach Osoto gari and drop seoi nage. Made me cringe. I have enough discipline not to "tell them how to teach", so I didn't say anything lol.

Dude, it's frustrating, and you will get injured. Broken toes, fingers hypertended knees with the rest of the banging and bruising. If you have soft skin, your knuckles will be shredded and take forever to heal. I tried! It's a very difficult sport with a steep learning curve and the higher belts will own you for a long time.
