How to Paint an Apple with Himi Gouache (REAL TIME)

In this video we paint a gouache apple! If you haven't painted with gouache before, it's really fun! It's very similar to watercolors. In this video I'll talk about which types of gouache I prefer. I'm so excited to share my process of how I paint an apple with Himi Gouache. We do some blending of colors in this video and I show you one way to paint with this medium. It's very unique and I love gouache paint! It feels a lot like oil paints if you use them the way I am in the video. You can also follow along because the video is in real time.

You can do this same painting with any basic set of gouache paints if you have the following colors:
Warm & cool red
Brown
Warm & cool yellow
I achieved the background by mixing a green with a small dab of my mixed red and white.
The trick here is to have a cool red and a warm red to achieve the different sides of the apple.
