the little montage with the rockafire characters laid over the cec characters was almost heartbreaking. I'm not old enough to have been around during showbiz's time but these 3 stages feel like they carry the ghosts of showbiz still. it's bittersweet, and it's really sad to see these things slowly dying out.

I went there as a kid sad to see it go 😢 I went into the ticket machine that blew tickets around and u had to grab them and it was cool, the pizza and arcades were so much fun
I had no idea that because it was 3 stages it was rare, and for it to be the last one remaining in north America is cool
@@Drum577Tom Leverton is your answer (Late Reply), He was CEO of Chuck E. Cheese's (CEC Entertainment) 2014-2019. The reason Why is Because: 1. The kids didn't pay attention to the Animatronics. 2. The Expectancy of Kids Today with Tech. So there you have it.

That was my childhood Chuck-E-Cheese - I remember going to several birthday parties there in the early to late 90s. I remember it being much darker and more moody, and more interesting for that matter . . It seems like there was so much more to see, like no blank wall space, more interesting tables and chairs and games. Thanks for this! I need to get back over there before it's gone.
I remember it being so easy tj get lost Bc of it being dark and there was a inside slide and helicopter bike wayyyyy more stuff in even in 2006 and I’m 21 my childhood one to i wonder where they take them
This is heartbreaking, Knowing that the last of the 3 stages will most likely be replaced too hurts. This may be your final visit to a new one but the nostalgia you have given me is wonderful. The piano version of Yesterday by The Beatles is eye watering. The lyrics (in my head) "I'm not half the man I used to be" is so true, since the animatronics aren't who they once were😢
What's sad is they could really do something special with the animatronics if they really tried. I get that CEC realistically doesn't have that kind of money to throw around but I would love to see what they could do in terms of restoring these stages instead of removing them.
I love the nostalgic feeling these videos give me. I wasn’t around for the rock a fire band but I grew up with a three stage and looking at these guys brings it all back. Thank you so much for getting all this great footage before they’re gone
You made my eyes water and the end there😢. I know these Shows send me back in time to when I was a 7 year old at Showbiz with all my friends and family. Lots of memories.

Just like many of the comments, seeing that montage of the 3-stage and the overlay of the original animatronics almost brought tears to my eyes! Shouldn't be dramatic over these sorts of things but they were my childhood like the childhoods of many others. While I may not have been old enough to see Showbiz, I'm old enough to know how important it was to so many people and I know it's important to me.
It really does suck seeing this all go away. It's extremely magical, but the magic's been sucked away. Hopefully something new and good happens with a retro store or smth, would love to visit it with my friends.

Great Video! It’s good to see they finally fixed The air compressor so they actually move and this 3 stage is one of the cleanest I’ve seen.
This video was shot in January 2023. They still haven't fixed it, probably will never since they are scheduled for 2.0 next month.
Edit: They have removed the show.
So basically Rolfe DeWolfe became Chuck E Cheese, Mitzi Mozzarella became Helen Henny, Fatz Geronimo became Mr. Munch, Beach Bear became Jasper T. Jowls & Dook LaRue became Pasqually... but Billy Bob Brockali became nothing and was discontinued for good, so sad for him!!! Chuck E Cheese and his band will always remain #1 in my heart... because I grew up watching them, but I'm not leaving out Rock-afire Explosion... because I have been watching videos of them on TH-cam!!!
Kept up with your 3-stage visits all the way from when you started in Huntsville. Ultimately it’s what got me into the rock-afire explosion and visiting these old locations. This one is definitely on my list. Thank you Chris, keep up the great work!! 🫡
Why bother to take your kids to CEC once the last 3 stage location bites the dust?
You can tell this place actually cares about its animatronics. They seem to be maintained in good condition

@@SetsStreetsEats Yeah, I had quite a feeling that happened. It just makes me wonder why some managers didn't attempt to fight corporate to keep them in some specific locations, especially special ones such as this and many others just like it.
There are no CEC 3-stages outside of the US. There was one in Guatemala but it closed in 2016. Also Augusta is mostly non-operational as far as I know due to the air compressor catching on fire. They were able to get Chuck to move. You have seen every 3-stage you could.

@@Rockafirelover No. There were 3 "Showbiz Pizza Fiestas" but they all closed in 1991 before they could receive CU. Probably closed because of denying it. Several Showbiz locations denied CU and closed as a result, many of which became their own independent FECs, such as Billy Bob's Wonderland (Originally the Huntington / Barboursville, West Virginia SPP), and Circus Pizza (the Blaine, West St. Paul, and Edina locations later became CEC's.)

I visited this location just a few weeks ago!! The compressor was broken when I went though.
They got a new one but it has only enough air to power Chuck E.
I hate that they’re removing a lot of 3 Stages now. Those are the only type of CEC animatronics I’ve never seen (well except for the portrait bots but if you got to see those in person, then you’re old). I’m really hoping I get to see one before they’ll all gone. I feel like due to the rate they’re removing them at, they won’t make it out of 2023.
I’ve watched many of these videos and none of them strike me as hard as this one did. Seeing the Rock-afire pop up on the screen makes me wanna shed a tear 🥲.

I’m from Augusta and remember having my birthday party and attending a lot of my childhood friends’ parties. Definitely brought back memories and made me tear up 😢

Yeah Im glad I got to see the rest of them but its sad that by the end of the year there will only be a couple left and by next year they won't exist anymore.
@Sets, Streets & Eats It is hard to wrap my brain around that. I liked how you superimposed the Rock-afire Explosion over Munch's Make Believe Band as a tribute to both. I was like 19 when Showbiz Pizza came out. I was blown away by the amatronics. Last time I saw the Rock-afire Explosion in the wild was at Peter Piper Pizza in North Hollywood, California on Laurel Canyon in like 2001.

I miss the animatronics I wish I lived while show biz
I've been trying to remember which CEC stage was in use at the location near me when I was a kid. One thing I distinctly remember was the curtains closed in between shows, but that may have changed in later years. This would have been early 90s. It was around the same time that the King was around
This is my home town i actually stay here now I didn't know it was so special in terms of chuckie cheese lore
I went here earlier this month and really enjoyed seeing them in person although they wasn’t preforming since the air compressor had a little fire in January but glad you got to see them working!
I used to go to this location as a kid and it’s so sad how the stages are leaving we won’t see them again because they putting the dance floor and the big screen
My mom took me to this exact place so many times when I was a kid, well over twenty years ago. The animatronics always creeped me out as a kid, but I'm still sad to see them go. I was running Doordash the other day and had to pick up an order from this store from one of their ghost kitchens, and it was kind of disheartening to see that the stage area had been walled off like it never existed.
This is my local chuck e cheese. It was always a blast eating pizza and watching the animatronics as a kid. I'll need to visit it soon before it's gone to show my little one.

When you first walk into a Showbiz It smelt like cotton candy and pizza. you hear the sound skiball and the electric games and everything thing is filled with music and pure joy with your best friends that's what Showbiz ment to me.
I literally came here 6 months ago 16 days after you were there and all the animatronics except Chucks air machine was working cause apparently all the other animatronics ran on one air machine but chuck. I was kinda upset since it was a 2 hour ride but I’m just happy I was able to see them up close
i grew up in augusta and am 21 now. its crazy seeing this pop up on my recommended, i remember in my childhood my mom used to take me there, i remember birthday parties in that exact place as well, although i think they moved or replaced some games around lol
if you didnt notice theres a custom chuck e cheese logo on the left side of the building pointing to the entrance and its only for THAT location. pretty neat.

I know I've said multiple times before that I hate 3-Stages for butchering my boys, but the fact that they'll soon be all gone from CEC stores... it's sad. Even though most stores took care of them horribly, they're poorly programmed, misadjusted and are not the characters I love on the outside anymore, they're still somewhat of the ShowBiz experience and destroying them is destroying history. Not to mention that if CEC sold them, more people could give them new homes and we would have more characters performing for us. I feel very bad for CEC fans, and for the Rock-afire themselves, ruined by corporate greed.
Ive been wondering whats happeneing to all tha animatronics that have been removed from cec locations since the new updates, I assume by what you said their being destroyed?

This Helen Henny Used To Have Latex Shoes and She was one of the Last ones To Have them Until They Ended Up Getting Savannah's Cosmetics and gave her the shoes that were on the Helen at Savannah
Augusta was the last Helen with latex shoes.
@@WhoDidWhat17 yes. There was another location that also had Helens latex shoes at Milwaukee Indiana unfortunately the stage caught fire making Augusta the last one

That's my hometown! I went there as a kid in the 90s. I moved back a couple of years ago and was thinking of taking my daughter there next month for her birthday. I didn't realize it was one of the few ones left that had them.

This is my CEC location. I grew up here. I remember when it was Showbiz. The animatronics are now gone. I feel like a part of my childhood is gone. I remember standing up in a booth with my family watching them when I was in Pre-K (Mr. Munch and Jasper were my favorites!). I hate that they are gone. Hopefully someone got them when they threw them out. They just trashed a bunch of games, but someone salvaged them from the dumpster and is already selling some on Facebook Marketplace. So sad- almost 40 years of history gone in an instant.

West Des Moines, Iowa (Opened October 13, 1980 as Showbiz Pizza Place; CU in 1991)
Charlotte, North Carolina (Pineville) (Opened October 11, 1982 as Showbiz Pizza Place; CU in 1991)
Visalia, California (Opened May 2, 1983 as Showbiz Pizza Place; CU in 1991)
Altoona, Pennsylvania (Opened November 23, 1983 as Showbiz Pizza Place; CU in 1991)
Billings, Montana (Opened August 6, 1984 as Showbiz Pizza Place; CU in 1991)
Tallahassee, Florida (Opened April 7, 1992 as Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza)
West Des Moines will probably be remodeling within the next month or few months and Tallahassee will be remodeling in June / July, and Charlotte has been rumored to be remodeling in August this year. Visalia is remodeling in October 2023 according to an employee somebody on reddit talked to. Billings is not getting it until 2024 (which may or may not be true, because there's still 8 months left of 2023). Altoona it is unknown when they are remodeling.
i sadly did not grow up with the 3 stage or any stages with the animatronics, but it does make me sad seeing them in this condition, i would've loved to watch them when it was still show biz pizza
Theres one in Charlotte Pineville NC had the rock aifire explosion turned in to chuck e cheese animatroincs
Show Biz / Rock-a-fire was my childhood too. I even vaguely remember my dad making sure we visited to see the guest performer, Uncle Klunk, while he had a residency in our town. When Chuck E. was first introduced as a walk-around character in my local restaurant, the rat walked up behind me while I was playing BurgerTime, and he reached over my shoulder and wasted one of my precious peppers for no reason at all. Maybe I'm still bitter over that, but I have never liked Chuck E. or his pals that "concept unified" and took over the entertainment. I just couldn't get into the performing rat and his friends having displaced Billy Bob. They shut down my local Chuck E Cheese sometime around 2017. By happy accident, I brought my family to visit just a couple months before that surprise closure. Pasqually was completely dead and the other members of the band were worn out and obviously tired. But you are right - the shape of the three stage, the lights, the smell of the food - the memories were still there! Chris, thanks for taking me on this journey with you and sharing the adventure.

Hey, great video!! I work at that location and unfortunately they're all getting torn out today... I love the 3 stage so much and its really sad to see them go. In the back we still have the Rockafire manual for the animatronics and I managed to snag a page before it all gets thrown away. I can't even get any stage parts since its all being smashed. Its so sad to see them be destroyed and replaced with a screen, and even though I never got to experience Showbiz this location is part of my childhood.
I knew it was coming but it's still very sad to hear the news. I'm so very sorry 😭

What’s unique that usually Helena has green eyes and Münch has black eyes on a three stage but they swapped them so Helen has black eyes in Münch has green eyes
I just noticed my chuck e cheese has the studio C not sure what kind but we got the Andy Warhol photos. I havent been in Chuck e cheeses in years. But when i went for a party i was sad to not see the whole band. It quite honestly made me pissed off, really couldnt enjoy myself there either. Just sad. What made it worse there were no sky tubes. I shared that memory with the kids.

Just curious but uh how far ahead are these vlogs filmed to when they're uploaded?
I'm usually on a 3 week schedule, z(shoot, edit, premier 3 weeks later.)However, the CEC visits this year so far were filmed in January when I did my big trip across the south from LA to Florida and then home to Kentucky. So this one was filmed the last week of January.

They did reuse many of the frames. No, Chuck was Rolfe De Wolfe. The only characters that didn't make it through concept unification were Billy Bob, looney, bird, and Earl.

I feel as if there is an extremely high chance of the Huntsville 3-stage being the last one to ever exist once the others are removed, because I think the manager and technician will try to fight against 2.0 and keep their 3-stage for as long as possible.
Actually several people have posted on my video this week that Huntsville was taken out at the beginning of the week.

Omg you tore me Up with this emotional Video!!💔💔 I was there in Feburary for nephews birthday and they did not turn on the stage like this. Why would they tear it out if it is working??😢
Its very sad, and I just found out that this stage is on the schedule for remodel later this year :(
