Great video!!! Your adventure really helped to not only decide to purchase the workbench but I followed your installation and my build was a breeze. I also loved you and your daughters humor, feel the Burn and China, China, China LOL.
I just assembled the 2019 version, purchased at Sam's Club for $400. Overall, I am also impressed by the quality and price. The instructions and the packaging were excellent. Tim's recommendation about not tightening the screws until all of them are in their holes was a key to the assembly. A few of the screw holes in the drawers would still not line up properly, however, so to assemble it I had to use my Dremel and enlarge 8 of the holes in the sheet metal. That was a pain, but I am still happy with the purchase.
I've had mine for almost 5 years now. Still no complaints. It did take about 5 hours to put together. Price was $399 and is now $409. The newer one's have less drawers on the right (facing) than the one pictured here. Mine came with nice drawer liners too.
What happened to the door installation instructions ??? From the end of the drawer installation (20:57), at (20:58) the doors magically appeared !!! I am glad that the screws supplied were of a pretty good quality, usually you get cheap screws that break and you have to extract them or and they supplied the proper amount of screws, including a few extras, which is rare. Usually you get the exact amount of screws and if you lose one, it's off to Home Depot or the hardware store.
LOL man I put 6 of them together alone with matching tables and stuff. It was for a prosthetic's lab 5 yrs ago from Sams dont know what my boss paid form them I just run the lab. I screw Poly(methyl methacrylate), also known as acrylic on the top to protect the desktop. That way when it gets scratched up or resin or something gets on it, it's easy to replace it and keep the desktop looking good. but 5 yrs and they all still work well, solid, strong. I enjoy your videos! You have a great family, God bless y'all.
+TXEOC thanks for commenting. 5 of them! That would take awhile! ...of course, you probably didn't have to stop for a styrofoam sword fight in the middle of each, so you probably assembled faster than we did! These things are a bargain! Thanks for your comment!
I assemble about 10 toolboxes per week at work. The $500 Seville at Sam's is similar in quality to the $500 toolboxes sold at Harbor Freight and Home Depot...but it's 18 inches longer.
We do have a good time. Not sure where we 'learned it', but we figured out that we could really enjoy each other while working on projects. Katriel is awesome. We miss her while she is at college. How old are you, Eli?
I'd say you got a great deal Tim. Nice that you had Christy and Katriel to help you out. You know us men have to have help from the women to keep us on the right path. LOL. That is a nice bench. Even if it's not good enough for Trump. :) I just have some regular Craftsmen tool boxes, nothing like what you have. And mine are around 30 years old. Can't eat off of mine. With what you have I could probably get rid of 2 of mine. Time to fill it up.
I purchased the UltraHD Model 20262 Workbench at Sam's club for $449, on sale from $499. The first bench I purchased had a problem with the #8 hardwood top. While assembling the metal sides and face frame to the #8 hardwood top I discovered that the hardwood top was too narrow. It measured 19 11/16 inches wide however, the metal base measured 20 1/8 inches. The six mounting holes would not line up. I was able to exchange this workbench at Sam's club even though I had removed all of the packaging (way to go Sam's club). Before I started assembling the replacement workbench I measured the #8 hardwood top and it measured 20 inches wide so I proceeded with the assembly. I did end up using some bar clamps to temporarily hold the face frame to the other metal base parts to ensure proper alignment to the #8 hardwood top before all the screws were tightened. I did use a small torque limiting driver drill for all the screws which makes installing all those screws a lot quicker. I also did my initial assembly on 2 saw horses so I didn't have to work on the floor. Thanks Tim for your video.
Bro I did the same thing I was putting together the drawers and I flipped those buggers inwards 😂 ugh thanks for the video I was about to cut that lip off that wasn’t helping me seat this. Incorrectly might I add
We bought almost the same one for the same price at Sam's Club. It went together very easily also. However, one of the drawers has a catch in it when I try to push it back in. It wants to stop about 4-5 inches out. On my configuration, under that drawer are the doors. Even with the door fully open and the drawers above taken out, it still catches. So I know it is not catching on something above or below it.However, the sliders work great when no drawer is in it. I have tried other drawers in that slot and they too catch. I am not sure how to fix the problem.
Sorry to hear that, Julie. I think you are in the right path. You need to find exactly where it is binding. Maybe you can see better if all of the other drawers are out? Then you can 'climb in' for a better look! Maybe one of the screws not quite all the way in or something like that?
I decided to go with this Husky instead: www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-60-125-in-10-Drawer-and-1-Door-24-in-D-Textured-Black-Matte-Mobile-Workbench-Sliding-Pegboard-and-Shelf-HOTC6010BB2M/300659016 As much as I like the looks of the Seville, there were 2 things about it that forced me to choose the Husky. The Seville is very light weight with only a 500lb capacity and a 30lb drawer load capacity. The Husky has a 2200lb load capacity and a 100lb drawer capacity. 500lbs seems extremely light weight for a tool box. In addition, the Seville depth is 20" while the Husky is 26". Even though the Husky is 12" shorter, it has 120sq inches of more worktop space. If the Seville had a more sturdy frame (maybe 100lb) I probably would have chosen it. They should take that into consideration in the future. Thanks for the help.
I've had mine about a year. For some reason, I can't open 4 of the drawers all the way, only about half way. It's as if the anti-tilting feature is keeping them from opening. I've contacted the company via Amazon and all they did was send a link to your video. I like your video, but it doesn't tell me how to troubleshoot my issue. Anyone on here had this problem?
No kidding!? They sent a link to my video? Wow. I wonder if the slides were inserted backwards? Or perhaps there is a screw head sticking out that is hitting the slide? Take the drawer out and see if the slide hits an obstruction.
6:10 - Really???.....Now I've got to buy a tractor with a forklift attachment to assemble my workbench /toolbox. This project is costing me an arm and a leg. Hot Damn !!!
Nice I just picked up a used snap on box about the same size but on the worn side for 800 and my main work box is mac at about 6200.00 both comparable size , so that's a good find. Just the wood top on a box is several hundred.
“You expect the ‘China stuff’...” yeah, we know what to expect when we see “Made in China”. This workbench however is made in Taiwan, which is the reason everything assembled and fit nicely.
Great video!!! Your adventure really helped to not only decide to purchase the workbench but I followed your installation and my build was a breeze. I also loved you and your daughters humor, feel the Burn and China, China, China LOL.
Boy, that was a long time ago! Thanks for the kind words!

The number 8 is pretty nice. The 30 seconds of the styrofoam, that was 8 dollars of fun!

I figured it out. But my model didn't have piano hinges. It had 4 individual hinges.

Where do the two magnets go? Booklet doesn't say and they don't seem to fit anywhere to allow the doors to close.

Great teamwork, thks for vid, putting my together now….
We have 3 of them now…many years later. Love them!
you guys seem like you have so much fun. I wish that my father and grandfather and I had this much fun while working like this lol
oh and my toolboxes where free!! my place of business was throwing them away

Nice video sit, purchased the same one for 399 plus tax. Kind of overwhelming how many pieces but can’t wait to build it!
Build time was a bit overwhelming, but I love it. Still using it now...and it feels like brand new.

You were right, 1 screw was missing. It now works great.
+Julie Wilson excellent news!
that hardwood top is so pretty and what are you going to use that big of a tool box for
+Tim Marks not really got some space in between tools
Much improvement over the old #7 Hardwood Tops, :)
Yes, they discontinued the #7 not-so-hardwood top several years ago!
A buddy of mine and myself assembled 8 of these in 10 hrs today for a private school.
Whew! Lots of little screws to deal with!!!
@@TractorTimewithTim yeah. We both had drills but we got them done.
You forgot to mention removing the protectors from the slot where you put in the drawers
was it sams or coastco?
You have had this a while? How is it holding up? Do the drawer rails have roller bearings?
Yes, I love it. I think sams still carries them. They changed the structure a bit to put drawers all the way across the top. I would like that better
I decided to go with this Husky instead:

Tim, Now that you have had this for 2 years how is it working out for you?
Love it, great value. Still use it for tool storage.

Will do - I've eyeballed everything and it looks okay, but I'll give it another look see. Thanks for the reply! @@TractorTimewithTim

Nah, I just saw at Sam’s for 499
Thanks for sharing your great video. $409 at sam's plus tax.
