When I hear people talk about the history of Southern hip-hop and don't mention 8-Ball & MJG it's hard for me to respect their opinion. However, this guy does seem like he knows what he's talking about regarding Scarface and Willie D. I knew once that episode dropped where Face didn't disclose to Willie he was performing at the Grammys it was the beginning of the end.
Charge it to his head and not his heart. He from da city and dat one slipped his mind. We grew up on them as they have a piece in Houston’s history as well

In Cell Therapy they were talking talking about the chip in your hand that will replace money,the mark of the beast! This is now coming up when they were talking about it in 1993/1994! GB was more gangsta rap but GM was more knowledge, wisdom and understanding! Even in Cell Therapy when they said Pow, they didn't mean pow as in a gun but P.O.W as in Prisoners Of War,which that's what we are! All that is true. Initially it was Scarface's song, but as we know now it is a Geto Boys song. Bushwick Bill and DJ Ready Red have passed on. The only people that can hold the title for that group is Willie D and Scarface. In this instance Scarface was wrong

I been rocking with GB so long I have these boi's albums on cassette tape. So I am a fan of both of them. I love Will for his raw in your face no holds barred rap flo and Scarface for his lyrical skills. Even though Face was my favorite I believe he was wrong. Not because he performed by himself at this once in a lifetime event. Hell the Grammy's probably only wanted who they wanted. It is what it is, but there is no way I'm going to sit across from my potna, my homeboy, my nigga, my group member every week and not one time mention, inform, or simply give heads-up that hey bro...Grammy's call me to perform. I personally don't think Will is shocked or bothered that the Grammy's didn't reach out to him. I had a feeling that was what happened and when I saw the hiatus and then all of a sudden it started back and it's just Willie D, I figured Face was no longer affiliated with it. That sucks. Willie had mentioned that it was up for renewal and then mentioned how he had done his own podcast for awhile when him and Face had their disagreement so I saw it coming. With that being said, I understand Willie's perspective. Face didn't have to say anything but it's a courtesy especially after knowing someone for so long. Maybe in Face's mind, that's his business and he didn't have to let Willie know, but on the real, it made Face look shady in my eyes. I hope they reconcile though.
