Hi Marty, thanks for another great video. Have you ever replaced the oil pan gasket? I have the same year 535i xdrive SUV and everything has matched so far. What about a timing video? I haven't found a great one for this engine yet. Im suspecting rod knock in mine and would like to have a look below for how extensive it might be if it is. If its not bad I need to take the rod bearings out to see what colours I need of the rod bearings before I order. Apparently there are 4 colours. Thanks to you
Hi Linda Poworski your welcome no not yet I heard they are a pain in the rear nor have I don’t a timing on them. Sorry if I get one I’ll video it . Thanks for watching
@@Marty09933 I have a sweat leak from my gasket between the oil filter housing and oil cooler. I don't have the external oil cooler like you (its much colder here in Scotland!) Makes me think I should do both gaskets, but I'm worried about re-using the inlet manifold gaskets. Is this 535i your own car? I see it in lots of your very good videos. Great work.
Hello my friend 545AR yes it is my BMW . those inlet manifold gaskets are reusable as long as they are not damaged ,dry and cracking. I do theses all the time not only on Bmw but other vehicles and I’ve only have had to replace them one time on a dodge charger they were cut. But if you’re worried about reusing them go with new ones a little more work but you’ll have peace of mind. That’s how I always play it if in doubt I go ahead and replace stuff. Thank you for your comments I appreciate them brother hope all goes well .
@@Marty09933 I enjoy watching your videos, I also have F10 with the same engine. You speak fluently, so that I can understand what you are saying, because I'm from Scandinavia.
Thanks a lot. Helpful video you made.
Hi thomas you’re welcome and thank you for watching. I really appreciate you.

Watch out for your alternator belt and also your alternator itself. I saw you've had a severe oil leak from this housing for quite a while.
Sande Halonen yes it will damage a lot of stuff thank you appreciate you.
