    WOW!! This is THE most comprehensive glove size/glove weight video on TH-cam! Super informative, and the history behind everything was extremely interesting too! I feel a lot better that I made the correct decisions on my glove choices now lol.

    wow THANK YOU for this awesome video. I'm getting started in boxing (coming from very traditional karate) and am learning so much from your channel.
    what heavy bag glove(s) would you recommend for a smaller boxer? I'm 5'2", 125lb, 7.25" hand circumference. I'm looking for wrist protection, good hand padding, and a snug fit for my small hands.
    for fun let's say price is not a factor. I'm willing to pay for a quality glove. My current plans are for heavy bag only, and I'll purchase separate sparring gloves later as needed.
    hope you had an awesome day.

      This comment made me smile ear to ear! I would genuinely say anything by Rival. The RB10s are amazing as are the RFX guerrero bag gloves by Rival. The rb2 are great by rival too. I would also say that the T3 by Hayabusa do a great job for bag work too.

    I'm about 135 pounds and 5'8, shirt size S. I have now recovered from wrist injuries and I need protective gloves as to not injure myself again. From my research the Hayabusa 3 gloves and Kanpki seem to be some of the best for wrist protection. Should I get them in 12 ounces? Or are there better gloves or sizes for me?

    Do your hands fit in a 10 or 12 oz glove like they fit in a larger glove? We’re about the same size and I want to get a pair of gloves that are lighter for different uses. Thank you great vid

    My son is 15yo, 6'3",around 250lbs, knuckles 4.5" wide, around 8.5" hands length. He suffered a thumb and wrist fracture 2 years ago, so he wants hood wrist support. He just started training Muay thai, he haves zero experience punching. He bought combat corner s-class boxing gloves 14oz because they were recommended to him. I love your videos and your knowledge and would love for you to recommend another pair of gloves for my huge boy... Thank you in advance!!
    I really hope you help us out!!

      @combat_corp  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would not have gone with 14 oz gloves for someone of his size at all. 16 if not 18 oz gloves for him. For ultimate wrist support, I usually recommend the Hayabusa T3 training gloves. They're expensive nowadays but provide the best all around support in my opinion.

      @MIREYA3235 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@combat_corp Guess what?? The T3 didn't fit my son"s big/long hands. his hand does not go all the way in and makes it almost impossible to make a proper fist, plus he said they are super tight. But luckily we found a fighter shop close to us and he was able to try some gloves on... only ones that fit him comfortable with wraps were the Fairtex BGV5 16oz, the BGV9 where a little tighter but his hands do fit all the way in and he"s able to make a propper fist... I thought I would let you know just in case you need to help someone with huge hands like my big boy. WE love your videos and my son keeps saying he will have his own collection of gloves that fit him properly one day like Al.

    Nice! enjoy the historical and industry info you add to these videos. What are your thoughts on the idea that having heavier gloves (16oz+) are better for sparring not only due to padding (which varies and you demonstrated), but also that is "slows down the fighter" some to protect each other? Another Myth or some Truth there?

    • @combat_corp
      @combat_corp  ปีที่แล้ว

      For sure some truth there! If an athlete isn't used to those gloves it can definitively make a difference but if someone is just used to using 16s all the time, come fight time their hands will fly. Did I answer the question? I hope so I might of read it wrong lol

    It’s even more confusing than this. Brands of boxing define size and padding. Not OZ.
    Fairtex bgv1 has small size compartment even with 16 oz. I agree with the padding part you talked about. But it also goes for size. A person like your size can’t wear a fairtex bgv1 and be comfortable. So it all comes down to brand eventually

    Your opinion, I am new and would want to be serious and consistent. I am considering purchasing TM Boxeo. Mainly cause I want gloves to grow in and keep for a long time. What's your opinion on this?
    Also, you did mention sizing of clothing. However I am 6 foot, 190 lbs but my hand size is average. Would you still recommend 16OZ? Or 14OZ?

    Great video! Exactly what I was looking for. I would love your thoughts on my situation. I am 45 years old 5’9 190lbs and in pretty good shape. I have large Rival old school RB5 mitts in size large. I also have Reyes 16oz extra padding. I mostly hit a 75lb aqua bag. Both my gloves are great but I was considering a pair of hit n moves balanced in hopes they would be a little softer. As far as shirt size I wear a large or XL depending on the shirt. I could send a pic if it helps. What size would you recommend? Or would you recommend something else entirely?

    Thank for the video boss! I have a question regarding my soon te be bought second pair of boxing gloves. I am looking at hit n move gloves for bag work. I am 185 pounds, 6.1 feet, above average size hands. I am leaning towards the 12oz agility gloves. Would you recommend this? Or would the balance be a better option? What do you think of the balance fit/smart fit difference between the both? Thanks and keep up the great videos.

    Do you see any detriment to someone who only uses 16oz gloves for sparring, but 12oz for bag and mitt work?
    More specifically if someone trains in lighter gloves, would it make them not perform as well when sparring in heavier gloves since they're used to a lighter weight?
