    The Eaglemoss Batmobile Issue No. 46 features the Batmobile from the classic graphic novel, Batman: The Killing Joke. Alan Moore's incredible story is accompanied by the haunting artwork of Brian Bolland. Bolland delivered a memorable Batmobile that was sleek and simplistic while simultaneously serving as a grand homage to the Golden Age era of the Dark Knight.

    The colours shown in the diorama were the original colours in the book, if one compares them with the Deluxe Edition they are different

    I like how the background is colored like the original comic was, I’m still on the fence about which I like better the original coloring or the new one. The old one was to vibrant but the new one looks slightly better in my opinion.

    i am with Jason, i too thought this was just the original car from the early comics, but once i saw the two side by side you can see that they both a different but have characteristics from on to another. I had to pull out the Killing Joke and give it a re read (probably for the 100th time) because of this video. Another great Batmobile to add to your collection, and what a great job Stew is doing for you getting you all of these great cars!! Great video!!! Now off to upload my review for Redbird

      RobsRogues I'm sure you are way more familiar with the Batman Universe than I am. Stew and I were talking about how we were familiar with the main beats of The Killing Joke but that we had never actually read the book. I finally read it cover to cover before I started to do this video. It's very intense. What do you think about that theory of Batman literally Killing the Joker at the end of the book?
      I agree. This Killing Joke Batmobile is a great homage to the classic DC 156 Batmobile. It looks like it belongs to that period and you can really see why when you set those two Batmobiles next to each other. Doing these Batmobile videos has been so amazing in terms of exploring the world of the Dark Knight. I really enjoy learning more about the characters through these Batmobiles.
      As always, thanks for the support and kind words. Take it easy.

    I am building a batcave with the Batmobiles through the years, My 1950's Batmobile is a 1/25 scale studebaker bullet nose promo, add, the large fin, Bat face and the double twin turbo rear sides similar to a 1966 Ford Thunderbird with a 1966 Chrysler turbine engine, the Killing Joke do looks like a 1950 automobile, but my comments with the eaglemoss automobilia was the Comic book was a single seater similar to a Revell W163 Mercedes Grand Prix racing car that I purchase from Ebay, though the cockpit is highly detailed, I would built my 1/25 scale into a single seater with similar instruments of the W163 Grand Prix Mercedes Benz but a little up to date gadget lighted buttons inside and a modern turbine engine from The Batman Movie Batmobile model kit which was in the same year the The Killing Joke comic book came out. I pay attention to details of all the Comic Book Batmobiles through the years. The biggest challenge I had was combining a 1966 Ford Mustang into a 1969 Chevy Corvette (x3 body) just to make it fit the larger Ford and converting it into a 1970's Batmobile.

    I always thought this car was the same from batman's original car but then you showed the difference pretty close but different. Once again great video. :)

      Chapman Films As always, thanks for the support. I always appreciate it.
      I knew about the Batmobile from Detective Comics No. 156 but I did not realize just how similar these two cars are until I decided to do this video. The Killing Joke Batmobile is definitely a great homage to that "old school" Batmobile.
      Thanks again, buddy. Take it easy.

      maddwoba This TH-cam/Batmobile hobby I've developed has been a real education for me. Before I started looking into these models, my main understanding of Batman came from the '66 series and the '89 movie. There really are some crazy and some well written stories out there.
      Thanks for watching.

      pat shuttle Hey pat shuttle, I couldn't agree more. The Killing Joke is a very interesting story and the artwork is incredible. Believe it or not, I've always known the general story but I never sat down to read the actual graphic novel until I decided to do this video. I read it cover to cover and I loved it! I can easily see why it's such an enduring Batman book.
      Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment. Take it easy!

    I like the interior detail - reminds me of issue 10.

    • @LuciusFoxCar
      @LuciusFoxCar  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pinder Productions I know it is not practical for Eaglemoss to do it with every model, but I really appreciate the Batmobiles they release with the cabin detail. This one is very cool.
      I recently picked up the Hot Wheels version of the Batmobile that is featured in issue 10. I might do a video for that model in the near future.

      Campbell Evans Thanks for watching, Campbell. Yeah, I could easily see how the Killing Joke Batmobile and the DC 156 Batmobile are similar but when you set them side by side you can see just home much they have in common. The design of this model is definitely a great tribute to that classic Batmobile.

    I have this one, it's pretty cool but I was a little disappointing that the car was so small, but still a great car.

    • @LuciusFoxCar
      @LuciusFoxCar  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Impossible Pie I've always wondered about the size of these Eagelmoss models. I know they're meant to be a 1/43 scale but I'm not sure how consistent the line is with such an incredble variety of models. As you said, still a great car and from a very interesting Batman story.
      Thanks for watching and always taking the time to comment. Take it easy.

      I thought the actual size of the car would be bigger but I think it's to scale as far as being a 1/43 scaled model. I have a photo on my instagram page with all my eaglemoss Batmobiles and most of the seem to be in good scale together. instagram.com/p/ykwd2psZUO/?modal=true

    I found a Hawk model brand 1/25 w163 Mercedes Benz a 1939 for the Killing Joke The car needs to be customize, I found a classic Flintstones 1/25 scale automobile for the automobile fenders. The W 163 Mercedes Benz single seater is 1/4 smaller than the Studebaker Bullet Nose but they are not the same car although the Batmobile features are recognizable, rear bat fin, Bat front Bat face.

    Loved the review Richard!!! Your videos keep going from strength to strength and I'm looking forward to the next already!!
    Sorry for the delay getting to this, it's been in my friends playlist since you uploaded it! Absolutely love the design of this one with the bubble dome and the classic high fin and big bat on the front. I loved seeing the comparison between this and the classic design to see all the similarities etc. Overall a fantastic review and release from Eaglemoss! Sorry to hear about the little QC issue on the back wheel though...Thanks for sharing buddy!!

      stewmurray47 Thanks Stewart! I'm still having fun making these videos and I particularly enjoy doing the research behind the stories that feature these Batmobiles. Like you, I sometimes wish I had time to do more videos on a regular basis.
      I"ve already told you and I mentioned it in my past two videos, but the last haul you sent had some fantastic models. Aside from the Arkham, that haul had this Killing Joke model, The Return, and the KnightFall Batmobiles and they are all so well done. Thank you so much, buddy.
      I always appreciate the support. Thanks again.

      Aww my pleasure Richard!! It's great to help your Batmobile collection build :-)
      I really love all the research you do and I don't mind waiting for the next review.....I know it'll be worth it! :-)
      I have to agree about the last haul too, there were some awesome additions in there and I cannot wait to see if they change the lineup to include the Arkham Knight Batmobile and the Dawn of Justice one. Maybe as specials?

      @LuciusFoxCar  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      BGMC23 I know what you're saying. Sometimes I'll go to my local comic shop and check out some of the issues that have already been released. BBTS is great (I do order other collectibles from them) but I'd rather have my friend in the UK continue to pick them up in the stores on the day they are released. Unfortunately, Eaglemoss is not known for consistency in quality control. My friend is great about picking the best looking model for me. I don't mind being a little behind for the sake of better quality.
      Besides, I'm only two issues behind. I have every issue (including the subscribers specials) but I typically only review the models that I particularly like. Are you collecting every issue or do you only pick up your favorites? Let me know if there is a model you'd like to see in a video.
      Thanks, Dude! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. Take it easy.
