We've got to wait a whole week for the Mega......Nooooooooooo! Goodness, a lighting engineer and caterer! Good choice going to Scotland, the nights here in Essex are really drawing in now, compressing valuable birding time. See you next week with your Mega!
Hi there I've recently found your videos and I love your content, I've learnt so much from your channel as I'm only an amateur twitcher but have been birdwatching since the early days when I was a member of Y.O.C. I recognise your face and believe I've seen or spoke to you previously. I used to live in N.wales and now reside in Widnes and really enjoyed your episode on the recycling centre gulls which I live right next to and look out for specific gulls thanks to your videos. And one of the positive points to this god forsaken place is the variety of estuary birds for which I do my own spotting. Keep up the good work I'll go back and like all your other vids, I'm subbed
Hello Nigel, Good video and good that you got those 2 white-headed gulls, Caspian & Y-legged. Got to say that the Ringed Plover at 3:16 mins is a juv Little-ringed Plover. Allthough it's your year-list, are you aware that Bar-headed Goose is not on the BOU Official Check List of British Birds, which only contains birds in Categories A, B & C. It is in Cat E: species that have been recorded as introductions, human-assisted transportees or escapees from captivity, whose breeding populations (if any) are thought not to be self-sustaining.
hi. Thanks for the comment, good spot on the Little ringed plover! I know about the bar headed goose, although we are going to count it for the sake of the youtube challenge, its fun and was a lifer for kayleigh. I don't think counting it will make any difference to us hitting our target, although at the end of the challenge I will do a video to address birds that we counted that are "controversial" and birds we saw and did not count ( due to not getting footage ). its all fun, and we appreciate your comment and your continued support!
we are doing it...we are renegades!, we have seen birds we have not counted like Black throated thrush and kingfisher, as we have not got footage of them. ( that was the rules that we made at the start ). in all seriousness it's all fun, I don't think counting it will be a huge advantage to us hitting our target. thanks for the comment though, we also really appreciate you watching, thanks so much.
Just found the channel ! Very much enjoying the content !
Awesome, thank you!
looks good for casp with less robust but long bill. slight gonydeal angle, white head, shawl and dark bases on tertial/g coverts

ooooo a cliff-hanger! Super excited for the next video! Also amazing work on closing out your challenge! You are SO CLOSE!
It looks chilly there. Is it? In Canada, September can be unpredictable, but are expecting 30C next week...
Getting colder, although the summer was really disappointing.
