Hi there. Thanks for your kind comment. I wrapped the exhaust pipe under the cab with titanium exhaust wrap. I don’t think it will protect the pipe from rust. But definitely will stop some heat going on the floor.
I used 16 gauge sheet metal. I got the whole sheet from local fabricator. 16 gauge is pretty thick, you can use 18 or 20 gauge on the floor and still be fine and much easier to work on.
@@MiteshKamal you right. I’m sorry, I forgot about the new floor. So to fix the rusty floor cost me about $200, paint, metal sheet, insulation. Than about $150 for the new floor. So around $350 total.
@@MiteshKamal I bought 56.5 square feet of the vinyl plank flooring for my 780, and it was just enough, but I didn’t make no mistakes, so there was no waste at all. I think you will be safe if you buy the same square footage.
I have used Krud Kutter The Must For Rust. You can get in on Amazon, Home Depot have it as well. www.homedepot.com/p/Krud-Kutter-The-Must-for-Rust-32-oz-Rust-Remover-and-Inhibitor-Spray-MR326/203396826
I think depending what you want on your new floor. But there is a company in Chicago or suburbs of Chicago. Not so long ago I saw their post, they charge around $800.
Thats why because i got 3/4 on mine and now cant secure the cabinets.... but my volvo is older 2003... redid the floor but mine was in much worse condition than yours... love the video! God bless ✊🏻
@@lnxas I was thinking to put thicker plywood so I don’t feel the floor spongy, but I was worried that I won’t be able to fit the cabinets back in. Thank you for your comment brother. God bless you too.
@@HalfThrottleTom Thanks for the answer. I have a 2013 with 1,331,000 miles and within the last year just started getting rusty on the doors. I also put two layers of kilmat on the front floor, it's more of a vibration/noise dampener. Appreciate your hard work!
@@Coronado-nz7wu no problem sir, my doors are rusty as well. I did clean the rust and paint it with some rust reformer paint, but the rust is still there and spreading. My next step will be new doors, or cutting the rust out, and welding new metal.
Dam my guy you got me taking notes for real for real. You did an awesome job
Thank you.
I did this job too but my floor was a lot more rust if i have same rust as yours i wouldn’t touch it 😂 great job fella
@@horoshotogda1870 😀 thank you brother. I know my floor wasn’t too bad, but I didn’t want it to get worse.
Can DOT say something regarding this???
Engineers and designers😂 they do not ever think about taking it apart just put it together and leave the next guy to worry about it 😂
Exactly 😆
Looking really good, very creative
Thank you
Very good. Your work looks great. Stay safe my friend. God bless you.

Goood job brooo
Imagine someday you gonna need access to those wires underneath it, it's going to be a pain
@@Xoxma1013 I hope I won’t have to 😀
I can’t believe they still use steel , kw & Pete have been using alum for 50+ yrs.
Right? My 1982 Pete cabover is in better shape than this Volvo 😀
Anything is better than old Volvo carpet lol
😀
I have the same issue in my pro star. The padding under he flooring was soaked. Not sure where the water is coming from
In my Volvo, the floor was rusted from the inside. The previous owner probably spilled something on the floor several times.
Hi, I just want to ask what kind and how thick is the metal sheet did u use? And where did u get it?
