You must ensure that you explain the concept in the easiest possible language. Do not decieve yourself and be brutally honest when practicing it. If you're confident enough that you have learnt a concept well, try writing it in simpler terms in your own words, as if you're explaining it to a fellow student. Doing this shall help you identify your weaknesses. If you find difficulty in explaining it, refer back to the source material. Simplifying the topic shall aid you in understanding the topic with utmost clarity.
I will use the Feynman technique or the kora page technique to develop on my skills. In order to understand things completely you need to be able to explain the concept completely and independently . Verbally instructing can have even better effects.This technique not only helps you to understand concepts but also lets you to analyse yourself if you have gotten the concept at all. This will also help you to be independent of the formulas and derive the concept straightaway during the exam if the formula by any chance is forgot.Moreover it also builds high level /advance understanding of the subject or the concept.I suggest you to practice this method to succeed. These are the main points I could extract out of this gold ore mine.

The thing here is first id we understand the concept through books or lectures then a small amount of information or may be more than 60% of information is already set in our mind but after writing it we revised the concept and ofcourse we can,t remember everything at once so we have to re check the mistake or step through revising it again it gets fit into our mind and of course if you can remember it all at once you have god gifted brain carry on and yeah as bhaiya said try to explain it to yourself it will actualy help uss a lot
