I had the idea to do this. I did some research on it (i.e.) when did the show air, commercial dates, time of day etc. I want to stich kids commercials to kids shows, regular to the family show, and then the late night commercials for the night. You guys remember/ notice how they played lighter (in color and humor)..
My brother passed away some time ago now, my mom remarried a while back , my dad remarried as well and my sister is a busy mom of 3 .. in 1999 when me and my brother and sister would sit in the living after brushing our teeth. My mom and dad would be in their room watching the news. I remember sitting next to my brother and excited for Christmas that year . My mom and dad would talk about Y2K lol how much I would love to re live that moment. No school either cause it was winter recess lol . I miss those moments . That’s why I cherish every moment now .
A kid I knew actually had the shirt in middle school. They tried to make him turn it around, but then it just said "up yours." So they made him turn it inside out. Whoever made the shirts was a genius though because you could still read the text when it was inside out.

Well part of it was because we were kids and part of it was because the world was more stable. I mean there has always been bad shit and issues, but society is just so shit now. The whole clout and cancel culture that rules society has really hurt us.
@@WSKTV6 Plus everything is now called ''cringe'' because people can't enjoy simple things anymore. People today compare everything to things from the past or they hate things for the sake of hating things. Yet at the same time, new invented things from today are really bad or remakes. I used to watch television with my father but the tv he had was in black and white. Nobody of us cared about it that the television had no color, you were just happy you could watch something. You try that with kids or even some adults today, you'll trigger a third world war with their behaviour.
I'm still trying to figure out the correlation between watching these pure nostalgic commercial comps and falling asleep. Why do they tie in together so well? I'm not bored and I love what i'm watching but it puts me to sleep like a baby in the best possible way.
Well, you said it: they're nostalgic. For me, listening to these old commercials is a way to remind myself of who I used to be, so many years ago. In a way it's like going back home. I resented these things when they were new, and yet, here I am, listening to them and remembering where I was, who my friends were, when first I saw these ads. We can't go back, but we can LOOK back, which is almost as good.
Thats not hard to figure out at all, think about how many times you've fallen asleep with the tv on as a kid? whether it was for a nap or even waking up to turn the tv off in the middle of the night and go back to sleep. These commercials were basically burned into your memory, they played in the middle of your show. They played in the background while you or someone else near were having a conversation and they were playing while you drifted off to sleep. I feel as though we correlate them to sleeping more often than not because our subconscious remembers all the times we fell asleep to these as kids and that brings us to a place of familiarity and care free and through that we feel safe and at peace.
It really is insane how much more unnecessarily expensive eating out has become nowadays. I don’t know if it’s inflation or what but all that makes me wish I could experience the ‘90s fully.😔
I will never forget riding with my dad to baseball and hearing him bitch about gas getting closer and closer to a dollar (it was still under a buck in bama in 1999)......my god. Of course in 2000 it shot up but hell it was cheap too when I started in 2005.
I was 5 years old when this segment aired. I was at the time obsessed with 2 things- Thomas Wooden Railway and Toy Story 2. I had all the wooden trains I wanted but the Toy Story toys I wanted were too hard to find at the time. Ah good times!

I wish there was a 90's TV channel that just played random shows & commercials all day from the 90s 😪
That would be an amazing idea man. That way we can avoid regular TV at all costs.
God yes, just do that for every era like Sirius does for its radio stations. I'd love a 70's,80's,90's and 00's channels

So dumb that there are ads on this video
So wild to see promos for King of the Hills Y2K episode when it was about to premiere.
Same with the Simpsons but they had a Halloween Tree House of Horror so they probably did it a couple of months prior

"The Simpsons, coming up next on fox." I used to love to hear that.
Me too, it's sad that nothing is as good as it once was
Late 90s were the best! I miss circuit city and these commercials were fun to watch
Exactly
I always thought the "Make 7up yours" was such an underrated slogan. Best ever. They need to bring it back!

When you pay to not have commercials on YT just to watch old commercials
why did I try to move my phone around in an attempt to “adjust” the signal like we did back then when we saw the static from the 7 7 up commercial 😂😂

I would get some foil or smack it in top or someone had to take one for the team and stand by the tv awww I hate that those time are gone
