Wasn't diagnosed with adhd until 36 still waiting for an autism diagnosis as the waiting list in England is minimum of 3 years.

I was misdiagnosed bipolar, and CPS here in Virginia took all five of my children because they thought I was experiencing psychosis because “my behavior was odd and conversations with me were bizarre”… I just got my children home after two years in foster care and two years of trying to prove to the court that I was not “psychotic”… and even after I had my psychiatrist and three psychologists testify that I was just autistic (and adhd + ptsd) and not psychotic and not experiencing any psychosis whatsoever, CPS and the courts still wouldn’t accept my medical professionals! Shocking experience.

Clearly her perspective is lacking when it comes to adult women with adhd/au. She dismisses "middle aged white women" with her statement. Its very sad that she has a lot of knowledge but lacks concern for the struggles of a middle women who have been ignored as adhders/autistics for half their lives and been denied the help they need. We mature spectral women are some of the strongest people though and for anyone who resonates with this comment knows that deeply. please be strong and authentic and don't make yourself small or deny yourself self advocacy because YOU MATTER, just because so called experts invalidated you with misinformation doesn't matter. You still matter and you still deserve validation. I am proud of every late diagnosed "middle aged white women " who reads this and understands it deeply. Don't worry friend...the world spins and the tables can turn.

What has transgenderism got to do with audhd? Sex is observed at birth. Gender is feminine or masculine. There are women who are masculine or/and feminine. They're still women. There are men who are feminine and/or masculine. They're still men. Intersex people have a dominant sex. None of them are equally a boy and a girl at the same time hence there are only two sexes. Intersex presents an anomaly which doesn’t mean anyone with it is between both sexes or both sexes. The misinformation and confusion is part of mainstream narrative but it's still wrong. I really like the speaker values the on-line enrichment we experience although always with critical thinking in mind. We're all gender diverse. No one conforms to the artificiality of gender (feminine and masculine). We need to protect women. No, we need to protect children from the fiction of transgenderism and not change language to fit fiction and confuse vulnerable people and children

It’s interesting to read a comment like this, because I feel like you are being openminded in some ways that I wouldn’t expect from someone saying this. I know a TH-cam comment is unlikely to change your mind but I just want to ask you this: what is it that makes trans people a threat? If the answer is something that somebody else tells you then I would challenge you to dig deeper into the supposed harm being done. Do you see yourself as an ally to lesbian/gay people? If so you are probably familiar with the narratives that were very common (and still exist) from when being gay was less accepted. These often had to do with saving children from a vague threat of homosexuality or some other vague threat to gender norms. This doesn’t mean that something else couldn’t be a threat to children, but maybe that’s enough to want to look into it from other sources/angles and see what you find. Either way I hope this comment isn’t inflammatory or patronizing and I also genuinely hope the rest of the webinar was helpful for you.

Glossed over everything... nothing that was said will help with diagnosis.
That's what I felt - is that why you're saying it was disappointing?
