1:47 Thank you too osu!museum. I'm Ruthra and i'm really glad i was part of this excellent video about osu obscure facts! The invisible ranks were not so easy to find, it took me months of researching... Well, now we can say the mistery has been ended. Thank you again!
It always surprises me when people remember that I did the osu!taiko masochist challenge. I have since moved on to bigger and better things but whenever people who approach me and ask "hey are you that guy who got 10,000pp w/o 500pp score?", I always get slightly embarassed lol. Thank you for deeming my osu!taiko masochist challenge noteworthy enough for being on such a small list!
Vtubers can just play offline or on Mcosu!, they don't have to sign into their account. Sure, they won't be able to submit ranked scores, but if they just want to play the game in front of their audience, then there's no issue. No need to multi account that way. One big reason a lot of company vtubers can't or won't play the game is because of copyright. Licensing for the music can be a problem, and a lot of people may not know how the featured artist thing that peppy has going (which has really grown over the years, so that's good,) works. I streamed osu! on youtube a few years back, and the amount of copyright related notices for songs I played during that stream... I never streamed it on youtube again. Unless it was made clear the all the songs in osu! were being legally downloaded/played/listened to or whatever else, it'll probably always be an issue. Most vtubers stream on youtube as the name entails, and with companies potentially not wanting to be in a potential copyright issue mess... it's better to just not stream the game at all.
Incredible how such a "simple" game brought that many people together to even document nearly every detail and history this game gone through. Osu will with no doubt keep growing and will definitely reach new heights with the release of lazer!
I happened to be one of the American players who helped osu! recieve its first multimillion player base, after joining on 2022. In a way, it's an honor to help the US community; and a year later, I managed to reach 1K pp on standard, a few months preceding this video too.
As someone who's invested a decent amount of time in the game, videos like these make it feel worthwhile to be in the community knowing there's more interesting bits to be discovered and heard about.
It's a shame people like Vtubers aren't allowed to multi. They gotta do it for privacy reasons and it would barely do anything in terms of rank inflation, but rules are rules I guess.
Keeping up with the monthly upload schedule 😎 Will be working on two projects at once probably after this Since one requires a lot of research and the other one doesnt need as much
6:32, how do you get those sliders that disappear as you move on them? Is that Danser? I was just wondering because I really like that and I don’t know how to get it.
looks like the replay was generated with danser, but lazer actually has both snaking in and snaking out sliders. you might have to enable it through settings, i don't remember if they are enabled by default or not.
the hitcircles are from the skin TECHNOCANDY by Garin the skin in the video is mixed with some other skin elements as well, the ones I can tell are YUGEN by Garin for the mod icons, and Beatmania IIDX 22 Pendual Future for the scorenumbers, also by Garin. you can find all of those with working download links on the osu forum.
when you say the reason vtubers don't play osu you sorta overlook the fact that most non-indie vtubers have companies they work for who are very strict about copyright and playing osu, a game famous for being in a legal grey area, isn't something they would want to do or even be able to get permission to do.
hello shigemura here, fairly we looked at HIGH popularity grouped vtubers who work specifically for a company and looked for which one of those has streamed and played osu! (companies like Hololive, VShojo, Nijisanji, etc), only one appears and it happens to be Amelia Watson i understand indie vtubers exist but for this fact we mainly searched and chose this fact for highly famous vtubers that were not related nor ever connected to osu! in either gamemode, on the copyright point of your message if you can see some of wamechan's played maps they were all only played once and were very mostly maps of songs only licensed by Hololive. (excuse me if i type like nonsense if you don't understand but i think you get the point)
ok i was skeptical going into this video but why was rucker on TV LMFAO edit: although it devolved into just osu facts that aren't obscure towards the end but you know (every fact after i started playing was not obscure anymore this is not a coincidence please do not suggest so)
