I’m on my 40s and I swear to God don’t feel old, not one bit. I workout, take care of my health and I’m still a teenager at heart, but watching the things around me move through the years is where it hurts. My old house, the dogs I had, the friends that are no longer around. Music is a treasure for me and I try to rescue as much as I can because I know I’ll need it in a few years, specially in this weird times. Thanks for this.
It is definitely the changing world around us that really makes the amount of time that has passed apparent.
Same here brother. Forever a kid at heart . The music & movies and toys I collect and kept from childhood help to keep it alive.
I have those feelings too.
Tho' I'm from the other part of the globe - I'm Indonesian...
But I can relate... I witnessed the American culture through so many TVs programs and the news (back then & now) - and I can tell the happiness what I have seen there, with my own personal experience I had in the past - shaped me about how I see the world today.
And I dare to say that the best, purest joy of the US citizen is there in the mid 70's until the early / mid 90's.
Today, it's all about negativity that woke media is forcing on people...
inflation, immigrants, radical islam, woke people, crazy inexplivable govt policy, the covid era, LBGT that is too demanding, politicisized BLM, pro-palestinians, crazy economy, the unequality of standart of living, the social behaviour, housing problems, fentanyl problem, massive control by giant corporate and tech industry like Monsanto & Black Rock, mass shooting, forceful islam, crimes by black & group of people, and ... low-quality music from evil music industry.
The young generation today are living the life that make them so unhappy and desperate.
The clip (& the music back then) is amazing - and encouraging.
And I can relate with what you feel about them today... But I hope there will be more Americans in their 40-50s feel the same like you do.
Maybe you guys - who have the awareness - can make a movement to help them.
Wait until you hit 50. Things begin to change.
You are not the only one. I’m 45 and feel exactly the same way.
Unless you actually lived through this era, you’ll never understand how special it was.
Happy I got to experience it, first hand!
Music, movies, TV shows were all the best.
Life was simpler. We had technology, but weren’t dependent on it.
Well said. It really was a magical time.
Don't forget the smells too...of vinyl records, 8 track and cassette tapes, old books, machine oil (think about how the old Singer sewing machines smelled), new cheap pool floats, hot electronic components, Aqua net hairspray, old vinyl muscle car interiors, gasoline, airplane and model glue, permanent markers (whew! gives me a headache)...can you smell a freshly opened pack of garbage pail kids or other trading cards? Some smelled different. Scratch n sniff stickers (mmmm pickle was my favorite lol)! Old department stores with flickering and humming lights...HOW ABOUT THE SMELL OF MANGLORE AND HIS BUDDIES, LOL?! I even feel like the smell in the atmosphere was different, to include the smell of rain coming...LOL, maybe my nose is just getting old and worn out! A lot of the smells above, and more, were great, some were bad but nonetheless memorable!
I’m not crying… You’re crying…
😆 I just have something in my eye!
Great quote Starsky :-)
Iam
I am 🤷🏻♂️
I told you, you will make me cry with nostalgia. I want to go back to the 80s
Even just for a little while.
Great collaborating with you guys again! Your channel rocks! ❤️🍻
Thank you sooo much Pao! Great work as always.
Born in 77 and loved and still do everything from the 80s. It was a great time to be a kid.
It’s hard to imagine a better time to grown up in, really.
The golden age of film and music.
Glad I was there to see it.
And damn i miss those days.
Miss them dearly.
RIP Corey Haim
Gone way too soon.
These are the movies we grew up with that define a generation. This was the best time ever! We are forever young...... Gen X
Can we just go back?!😂😭
When you figure that out… let us know!
Watching these tributes always makes me choke up a little bit.
I may still be young at heart, but damn if my body refuses to listen.
I hear ya. Aches and pains make bad bedfellows.
80's such a beautiful decade. 🤘😎
It was the absolute best!
Fantastic!
My only complaint is you forgot the rite of passage every young man goes through at some point: transforming into a werewolf in the middle of a basketball game.
😆 Ahh yes. Who doesn’t remember their first wolfing out?
Get on your bike and disappear for the day with your friends and go on adventures. Not a worry in the world. Don’t come back until dinner time. Rinse repeat. Those were the days.
If i could have 1 wish, that 1 wish would be to relieve the 80s for 6 more years. That would be my 1 wish and for my 80's movie actor's too live for ever young. RIP 🙏 TO ALL DOES GREAT 80 ACTOR'S AND ACTRESS THAT HAVE PASS THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING .PS FOR EVER YOUNG, ALFAVILL
To have 6 more years to spend in the ‘80s would be incredible!
i was born in 1979. Growing up in the 80s, my 40's a lifetime away.
It’s crazy to think of how much time has passed and all we’ve experienced during it.
I was born in the 70s and experienced the 80s and 90s. I admit that I took much of it for granted. That was a mistake. Then again, maybe there's no way to avoid pangs of regret from our coming of age. What a time though. A rich rich culture.
I saw somewhere someone asked if it's normal to cry looking at these videos. I don't know if it is but I'm disturbed by the thought that it isn't.
Definitely is alright to cry to this. I do. Sometimes I get too caught up in the good old days. They say there’s a term for that called “nostalgic depression”
This is perfect! Makes me so happy and want to cry at the same time. Thank you.
So glad you enjoyed it!
Made this 55 year old man smile!
I was there!❤
So glad you enjoyed it!
Born in 73.. I'm watching this video almost getting choked up. The early 80s, jr high. High school. The memories playing with my cousin's. We were close. Going thru life together. Girls, dating, fights, roller skating, sports, video games, MTV. Now our parents are all slowly starting to pass away. I'd give anything to back to that house on Middletown rd.
@@skadooch64 We hear you, and the sentiment is mutually felt. Just to talk about those days brings joy to our hearts.
I hear you my friend....I HEAR YOU.............
Time flies thanks for the memories.
So true. Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. 😀
Watch this & your heart won’t die. ❤
Well said!
Too late.
Your video montages are pure genius. For those of us that grew up in this decade, we thank you. These transport us to a time when life was simpler and, by ALL accounts, pure magic. Thank you for that.
So glad these tributes are bringing you a little joy and nostalgia. ❤️
As someone born in 96 I envy those who got to live through 80s 💕
Hopefully we can help you step back in time a little with our videos. 😉
Born in’64 Graduated in’82. Totally killer decade!!
The horror is we can't go back and we're stuck in this insane asylum...
Loved it!! Growing up in the 80's was magic...
Yes it was! Thanks for watching this Deanna.
It was the best.
Just remember that most of the 80s wonderful entertainment was inspired from the real life, as the wonderful 80s were, as life in the 80s was gonig on, entertainment imitating life
Back when the world still worked.
Beautifully done.🎉 Miss those days so much. Tears and joy. Thank you,!❤🤘
Very happy you enjoyed it!
Another beautiful reminder of what was the greatest decade in our lives my moms generation had the 50s and 60s the boomers had the 70s and alittle of the 80s we have the 70s and the golden era of our time the beautiful 80s
Can’t really imagine a better time to have grown up. It was fantastic!
As a boomer I will report that the whole decade was fantastic for me! I love these montage videos!
The great thing about 70s babies is they were still playing movies and music from the previous 3 decades on the regular. I feel like I've experienced 50 years of culture.
This is just so touching - thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
It is our pleasure!
“When you grow up, your heart dies”
I remember having great times with close friends in the 80's where the car stereo was cranked and we danced on the driveway around the car and onto the street. Everyone was happy, carefree, all was well in the world around us! Where has that all gone, how do we get back there?!
Elisabeth Shue ❤❤
O god I miss the 80s😢
Definitely. Hopefully this brings a little bit of that back.
No words needed….❤!
Happy Summer 2024, May you stay forever young
As good as having a Time Machine. Thanks guys
Our pleasure! Though we’d prefer a Time Machine. 😆
1980's!🤘🏻👍🏻🇺🇲
As we move into the future, I feel like so many amazing things in my past just die away, and I watch things like this video to try to rekindle some of those memories
That is our mission! To celebrate the years of our youth, and spark fond memories.
Просто помни, что человеком может называться то, кто помнит своё прошлое.
When 1980 hit I was 5, my first memories are from around 4 so I remember all of the 80s for the most part..Some of those movies I watch with my teenage son these days and they r still Great..Can’t buy me Love, License to drive, man I watched that one over and over I remember I had that recorded on a Kodak VHS tape that had yellow label on it..Streaming and things of today are great I am not one of the older people that doesn’t like anything new I enjoy the new metal bands of today with my son and I love the new technology we have but pretty hard to describe to my son bein a latchkey 80s kid…Best times of my Life I will always treasure!! The music and the movies, but mostly the memories of friends and family members that aren’t here anymore to talk to..Great video
It really is difficult to put into words how great the decade truly was.
Been loving these music videos you've been releasing. So joyful and a reminder that humans can actually be pretty great.
Trying to focus on the positive and bring a little joy.
The Brat Pack cruising around the streets of Georgetown in a jeep at 3:21 IS the 80s
Lucas, amazing movie!
A fun and heartwarming one.
Great video. So glad I was a kid in the 80s.
This is as good as it gets!!
Yeah dito LoL
I've uhhhh got something in my eyes... ( tears streaming ) ❤
It’s the onions you were cutting.
Another masterclass, thanks for making this 😢🎉
So glad you enjoyed it!
I was born in early '86, so I kind of missed the experience of the 80's, though saw it evolve into the 90's as I grew up.
Good thing is that much of the first half of the ‘90s was a continuation and expansion of ‘80s pop culture! So you did get some time there to really come to know the decade.
@@RetroDaze Very true. The early 90s were like the late 80s but nothing like the early 80s. Nonetheless, what a great time to be alive
I know what you’re saying but don’t worry, you’re one of us
excellent work
Pao did a great job.
Yeah turning 62 next month alot friends and family no longer alive.
That’s hard. Hopefully this brought you a little joy.
@RetroDaze yes it did, some joy it did bring inner smiles
If you grew up in the 80’s you’ll always be forever young
The heart is forever young, even if the body moves on. 😉
Great video and song! Loved living in the eighties, still reliving it as much as I can doing things I did back then. Even still driving a 1987 Buick Regal limited still with tape deck inside and all original.
That is awesome! Well played.
Good job
Thank you Aidan!
Awesome memories. Thank you Retrodaze.
Thank YOU for checking out the video!
Fantastic ❤

How many movies in the montage can you name?
Where to even begin?
I was wondering the same thing! Anyone have enough time to list the movies shown in this? Want to go back and rewatch all of these, dont remember all of them
The Need 🎉
Can someone list all the movies?
Trying to identify the movie/actress at the 0:59 timepoint. Thanks
I could be wrong, but looks like / reminded me of Sheryl Lee. (Laura Palmer from Twin Peaks). No 1980's movie that I could find with her in the cast, so perhaps that was an episodic role. Or, maybe that wasn't her, after all...
@@BundsBun Thank you for your suggestion. I checked and agree with you that Sheryl Lee is not casted in any movies that make sense for the period. Thinking it may be Amanda Wyss. She is in lots of movies of that genre but I cannot find the specific beach scene. Hoping someone recognizes it!
I was born in 2010 but I love the 80s decade. My father grew up in it. Also, wish me luck in trying to get this girl to be my girlfriend. She has red hair and is in cheer. If shes looking at this comment, I like you alot! Will you be my girlfriend?
If she is reading this... give 'em a chance! C'mon!
@@karenrosen2983 she said no
@@NerdyDerpySorry to hear that my friend. Learn and grow.
*Sigh*
Please help me Lord God to Get this girl I like, Lucia. Help us to become and stay faithful to you.
What is that jogging scene at 2:16?
Maybe "The Sure Thing", not sure. At least there are other scenes from it included.
