Wonderful. Thank you so much. So much style back then, not like today.

I grew up in a remote Sth. Wales village 50s and 60s. We had 2 Coal mines with railways taking our coal output to Port Talbot and elsewhere. Part of the line opposite our house was where my grandad and me used to pinch coal lying about !. I grew up with Shunters, wagons and guardsvans. Your show brought it all back. Am in tears now and its your fault 😢😅. Thanks for the treat. Dave

I'm glad my video bought back some memories David, It must have been interesting growing up with so much railway excitement on your doorstep. Thanks for watching.

Thank you for revisitngthe film, and its latest incarnation. I love the film, and even your clips are enough to raise a smile. As for the wagons (I've got a Harbottle open) well, they might have problems running to Arrgna - which was on a 3 foot gauge line, as faithfully recorded on the side sheets. And all of them would have had problems running in Ireland - as would Gladstone herself - they're chronically under gauge!

I do not think you were wasting you time a super video thank you. Those wagons and vans are great I have them myself just waiting for a Gladstone loco to pull them.

Thanks for watching Richard. Yes a Gladstone is all that is needed now, it's a shame Fran from Acurascale didn't get to answer your question about it in Jenny's livestream.

I agree probably would have kept it quiet though.

Will Hay Appreciation Society have a moulded model, intended to fit a commercial chassis which might interest you. I'm planning, tentatively, to scratchbuilt one, on a Triang TT chassis (lengthened axles to fit 16.5 gauage).

Thanks Tom, yes they're great, hopefully there might be some more in the future. I expect a "Gladstone" would be popular!

Definitely would like a Gladstone and a bus perhaps.

The houses can be pulled down if the Basingstoke and Alton is reopened if Basingstoke and Alton join up.
