That's right. However, Unreal Goty Game of the Year Edition is also nice, I think it came out in 2000 or is it the one from 1999? UT 2004 was also great. I bought UT 2003 back then, unfortunately one of the 3 CDs is gone I bought the parts from instant gaming for 6 euros. Once Unreal, always Unreal🙄😳
I have to genuinely wonder if unreal fans are delusional or if that game really did have some semblance of an atmosphere by late 90s standards because I couldn't feel any when playing the game myself
@@blueshit199 you really don´t know what you are talking about ... seeing the intro sequence of Unreal with a 3Dfx Voodoo in 1998 is still one of the most impressive things I have ever felt in front of a computer, you couldn't believe what you were seeing ... and the inclusion of bots and levels to play inside the game was something completely revolutionary. Frankly the first Unreal is still the best one, few games can give you that feeling when you enter a new area or get a new gun, or use an altfire for the first time. You know the one. "Hoho, what is THIS?" Pure gaming
people have experienced that with every unreal tournament. i did with 2004, others did with 99. when a genre first clicks for you, that's going to be your idealized version. i still play 2004 despite there being pretty much 3 peashooters that are not worth a use in the slightest, and only 3 guns that are worth using, and only ever touch half the modes, because the others feel like trying to roll a boulder up a hill for eternity. ut99 isn't that great either, and ut3 had a disjointed story, but probably the most balanced gameplay of its time. ut4 was great but got axed too soon
