I really like your detailed review, along with the friendly vibe that you give off!
Finding Nemo will forever have a special place in my heart. This is a movie that is so fast paced, yet you still have time to enjoy the scenery; especially the jellyfish sequence, which is by far my favorite out of the bunch; not because of the humor, but because of the elements and story.
I absolutely LOVE jellyfish, and when it came to this movie, I was ecstatic! Although they got some things wrong about jellyfish, it's still pretty fun seeing them able to create a scene like that in the early 2000's. Storyline wise, I think they did a pretty good job; how jumping on the top of jellyfish as if they're trampolines cracked me up; along with the whole escape part.
All in all, I genuinely love this movie, and I hope other people will too.
Also, where'd you get that shirt from?

Hey, thanks so much for the kind words! Hope to keep seeing you around to talk more movies soon! Going to see Elemental tomorrow night as we speak. 😊
This movie is so freaking special and important to me as a moviegoer. Sparked my love for the medium as a young kid and no looking back since.
As for the shirt, I got it off of RSVLTS! Ad on Facebook. Love it! I think you will love having one too as a fan of jellyfish.

Great review as always, Zack and love the shirt as well! Finding Nemo is definitely in my Top 5 Favorite Pixar Movies and one of my favorite films of all time. The underwater animation still looks fantastic to this day, the characters are super memorable, it’s quotable, has a lot of heart, Dory is one of the funniest Pixar characters ever and it’s a film that I always adored since watching it on VHS about a hundred times. Over a decade later, Finding Dory is a good sequel but not as good as this.

This is all in all my fav Pixar movie. It’s so hard to rank all the great films they’ve done, but the cultural impact this had when we were kids was just so memorable. Monsters Inc is up there at #2, being the funniest Pixar movie for me.

Love both of those, Jay! This one just has more personal meaning for me as the first movie I remember watching in theatres as a young boy. Love it to no end, I always will. Thanks for watching, man!

Definitely one of Pixar’s best and funniest movies. As I’ve gotten older, I relate to Marlon, due to a death I had in the family, caused me to become SUPER OVERPROTECTIVE to the people around me.

I really do hope that elemental does turn out better because if you take a look at the rotten tomatoes score it's at 57 it's the second Pixar movie to get a rotten score and I'm a little bit worried I hope that movie will at least turn out decent for Pixar.

I’m sorry I’ve never been a fan of this movie and I find it to be highly overrated. Even when I was a kid I never liked it and it gets worse as I get older. If you like the movie that’s awesome and you are entitled to your opinion and I’m glad you liked it but it’s just not for me.
Nemo is a spoiled brat, Marlin is an idiot, and Dory is annoying & obnoxious (Which breaks my heart because I am a fan of Ellen, but she was not given the right material. Not even Joan Rivers could make this role work). But I like the Gargoyles in Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame so what the hell do I know? I also find it to be emotionally manipulative. I understand that Marlin’s wife died but we barely got to know her and her death was rushed so I didn’t feel anything when she died. The reason why Mufassa’s death in The Lion King is so effective is because we got to know him as a character and it was built up properly and they took their time with it.
I’m sorry but I think the movie has a bad message for parents and kids. It basically says “screw you parents. I’m right even though I was wrong, I still get rewarded, I get away with disobeying my parents with no consequences and I’m instantly forgiven”. I also think the whole “Let your kid grow up message” doesn’t work because Nemo is not a teenager or a young adult and he’s not mature to be let go. I also find the humor to be pretty cringeworthy.
I also think the animation looks pretty dated to me. I watched the movie on VHS, DVD and Blu-Ray and I could not tell a difference. At the time it looked beautiful but it looks too fuzzy to me.
But that’s just. I’m glad you liked it but it just didn’t work for me.

Fair opinions, man! I see what you’re saying, but I feel like the message is extremely resonant. It’ll hit me more in the feels once I become a father myself, if I’m lucky to be blessed with children. 🙂
Thanks so much for watching and for sharing your in depth thoughts! Always great to hear differing opinions and discussing them with you guys in respectable manners gives me so much joy.
Hope to keep seeing you around to talk more movies and TV! 😊

No problem. I’ll do my best to keep the conversation going. Honestly who wants to live a world every had the same opinion on a movie. That would be boring.
