  • This took a while. I'm no expert, so I didnwhat any newb does and dove right in. Turned out OK. I wish I was a better welder.
New metal from BJ's. Requires quite a bit of fitting and instill didn't get it just right, but it's better.
I used weld through primer everywhere. after welding and smoothing, I used a lot of Rust Bullet on all the seams.
Next up is taking the rest of the tar off, grinding and epoxy.
Let me know, should I Raptor the floor, or paint it?

Hi, i feel weird by not knowing your name, but I think that calling you Sr. is ok.
Im restoring as well my dad’s wagoneer, doing all by myself. But I come back everytime a doubt pops out. I really like your Work and enffort on your project.
    Great hug from México 🫶🏼

Nice of you to say, thank you. I'm no pro, and have a lot of learning to do. I make lots of mistakes, so my project is definitely not a 100% restoration, but will work for me. I have spent, and still spend a lot of time in MX for work and I am constantly reminded of the hard working people I interact with.

This video was great. I am about to cut out somebody's patches from my floorboard. I have been following your series on this wagoneer. I will be doing similar things!

Well - I'm no expert. I can see I made a few mistakes. Around the tunnel, I should have used some sheet metal screws to pull the two panels closer together and minimize the gap. The BJ's replacement is good for the flat area, but are missing some contour. Anyway, better than it was. After some seam sealer it'll be just fine.

I would look at bjsoffroad.com they are the number one place online. Also look at the fsj group on Facebook. Lots of guys are from MX and may have parts locally. Glad it helped. I'm not a pro by any level.
