Thanks, Bill! This was quite informative. Do you have any time to make a particle video? I've been trying to make an extremely small square, emitting particles to render to Beyond without seeing anything but the 'dot' / square moving through the keyframe path minus the particles I can see on the render screen. Any help is appreciated. Thanks again for making this tutorial!

We don't have any such videos. HOWEVER, note that there is a FILTER portion of the plug-in, just like there is for all of our plugins. Likely you should turn all of the filters to zero (or minimum) so that the small particles are not removed because the plugin believes they are "noise" or otherwise undesirable junk.

Is there anything similar to this where instead of going 3D model to laser show you can instead take a 2D youtube video(or movie file) to laser show?

Like for example, the real time video tracer? wiki.pangolin.com/doku.php?id=beyond:real_time_video_tracer&s[]=trace&s[]=video

@@PangolinSystems That looks great. Realtime Tracing I think is a good match to what I am looking for. From the wiki link I was seeing from inputs described as "Web Camera or Kinect device". Would that real-time video tracer easily take an inputted AVI/MPG/MP4/etc file? Does it only take webcam, or can you use other software to simulate a hardware video steam using those same AVI/MPG/MP4 files? Silly question, but can I take a copy of Ferris_Buellers_Day_Off.MP4, import it into the software (or set up a video steam of that using other software), and have that be somewhat watchable over a laser and would viewers be be able to recognize what move it is by only seeing it (assuming they've watched the movie normally at least 5 times in their life time)? I'm looking for something I can "play" files over a laser and not something that requires time to setup, process, etc to have it work. I'm only looking to spend up time setting up the hardware and maybe a few minutes of software work. If it can do what I'm describing, do you have a basic laser that you'd recommend to combo with this software?

What types of materials to objects need to be for this to work? Ive opened up some preexisting blender files and it seems its not rendering any of my objects, whie they are rendering fine in the evvee system. So the Laser plugin is looking for some type of material but not seeing anything in my current showfile. Who can I reach out to about assistance with this? Ill gladly pay
