Keep up with us at / beatdownboogie ! We went to Katsucon to test out one of our new cameras, and it turned out to be an awesome event. What you see here is the Canon 5d mk3, an upgrade from our Canon 7d. We're currently working on the 3rd and 4th episodes of our web series, Mario Warfare, but hope to get to more conventions after that.

This was an interesting departure from the usual swoopy, super-dramatic cosplay video. The focus on the people and their experience at the con kind of made me wish I'd been there.
This may have been the best cosplay video I've seen. I liked the fact that it had music I've never heard before. I liked the fact that it wasn't random, it had a idea behind every clip.
This is why i love my otakus and gamers and comic nerds B3

I watch this video so much. My friends suggested going to Katsucon for 2015 and since we live in Canada I didn't think we could afford it, but then I thought of all your great cosplay videos and how amazing this con would be and decided that I will be attending in 2015. I hope to see you there! :D

You have honestly inspired me to make my own cosplay videos! I watch this video (a few times a day) and I still get chills every time! What video editing software do you use may I ask? Again, this is absolutely amazing and captures the beauty of all cosplayers :D Please keep making more!

I've been trying to find photos as my friend who cosplayed as axel, but his wig was more like a poof ball than spikes. He had some chakrams i made for him, so i wanna see how they looked. He doesn't live in my town so i can't see for myself

But anyways the point is I don't think it's fair the way jawks see us anime nerds and video game nerds. It's just an passion that we love to do it's like saying football sucks to them they will get pissed. But anime and cosplay for me for the most part is just a way to express yourself and have fun and meet new people while doing it I go to conventions then and there specifically kitsunekon and Daishocon in Wisconsin but when I do I have the greatest time ever because you can express yourself
So did you see that new episode of the dragon ball z's and the Pokémon's in a stereotypical geeky voice while doing that star trek thing where they hold there fingers apart. This get's my friend Justin pissed so he flips them off. They all go "ooohh" and all start doing the star trek thing. Justin runs and grabs one of them and puts him in a head lock. His other friends try to pry him off but couldn't because Justin was stronger than them because well...he's larger than them.
You know what, I don't give a shit wither not people like me for sports or not I mean at my high school not a whole lot of people take me and some of my friends seriously for liking anime and videogame cosplay. The so called jawks at my school (names not be mentioned) think there so high and mighty because they play football and get all the bitches and shit. Well there's a distinct difference between anime fans and jawks. Us anime lovers have a passion for it and it makes us feel good inside.

Nice. I started with the 1.4, it's a great match for the mk3. I'm figuring on hanging on to the 7D for a good while, and I love using it with the Siggy 30.

In all my days of watching videos of these conventions i'm surprised to see few slenderman costumes as it's one of the easiest costumes too make

"A Beautiful Day" was a PERFECT song choice and I really felt that it had a deep meaning. You could say that if you replaced the "aliens" in the song with cosplayers/anime fans then every single word the man says makes complete sense.
I feel like we really are leaving an impact on the world, and when all of society sees how we are changing history then it really will "be the most beautiful day".
Gahh! This makes me want to go to a bunch more cons and cosplay! But I don't have any money for either!
Cosplay is short for costume play, It's an obscure, artistic hobby many people like while others think it's weird and childish which isn't true. Most people make their own costumes while some buy them. Cosplay is for everyone and it's about expressing the love of your favorite character and enjoying yourself at these cons and making new friends. Just my 2 cents for ya.
Wow... was that Tony the Tiger @ 5:49? (Background-right side) Also I love everything about this video. It's amazing to see people doing what they enjoy and making others happy while doing it. I liked the FMA and Kingdom Hearts cosplay. Halo Kitty is funny too. I enjoy seeing other people as my favorite anime characters. Like I said, makes me happy.
Nice cosplayers. There were some amazing costumes while Japan doesn't has many nice cosplayers (Non-nice cosplayers are ones only wearing costume suits.) Also, I am jealous of less gun restriction. But I haven't seen any Touhou characters.... is making hats too hard? If so, try searching for characters with less complexier hats. (Example: Suwako and maybe Remilia)
Also, who's the guy at 1:27 with the whirling sword? Maybe I should just wait to comment until I've seen everything. Okay, so... What is up with 3:50? A 007/Ash/Shepard cosplay? Wow, didn't see that one coming. And that thing at 5:30 looks freaking awesome- what's that one from? Also- 2:03 is total BOSS. Can't even believe how shiny that is.

This is why I love all Con events... When your there, you feel like your at home and everyone around you are close to being in your shoes, you don't fear being different and being a bit of a freak... Ive never felt so at home then I have with the people at Comic-Con
This video should have just been called: This is Cosplay! It is so beautiful in many ways and the focus on the cosplayers as well as showing how fun it is to be around others at con really stands out to me in this. Keep up the great work!

I dont know how cosplay is evolved but whoever invented this idea is fucking genius. absolutely love all of these costumes and how people of same artistic interest points are gathering together.
All the outfits were awesome and props for Persona 4 characters but I'm sorry I have to be honest, I don't know why Black Dante made me laugh so hard, it could have been the slo-mo hair flip...
