My uncle died almost 70 years ago, shot down by a 202 over Sardinia. He was in a P-40, flying out of Tunisia. A lot of German pilots liked these planes, especially the 205.

Those 12.7s have about the same bore as the ANM-2 .50s but the similarities pretty much end there. Brings up the point: gun pods. Maybe worth the loss in roll rate and overall performance for us mere mortals?
It's one of the most difficult plane : only 2x 12.7 MG (and the italian 12.7 not so efficient than the us or soviet 12.7). That's mean when you hit often is'nt enough to damage heavely the ennemy figter. Than he can take advantage or enemy friend can help during you make attack after attack... Great job.
I doubt you'll ever see this but I gotta know, did you flip the prop pitch govern to manual and use that or did you leave it on? Cause I wanna love flying this plane but I can't seem to get her to retain speed and wind up getting shot down when I'm gaining separation. But I try manual and I keep some how seizing up the engine with overheats.
I know im subscribing your channel :) it is an evolution of il2:cliffs of dover. They support team fusion in development of tobruk mod/expansion. Now when normandy map will soon arrive we will be able to compare both maps. Yes i recomend it for sure :)
@@jochenheiden well to be honest im buying every expansion they realese on preorder but if you are interested in channel map western front you should buy normandy and bodenplatte expansions to feel it in right way in a multiplayer servers like TAW or combat box. That's my personal foughts. And if you gonna like it consider buying eastern front expansions cause it is whole dynamic campaign going on on mp servers. Mega fun to be part of it as whole utilisation of this il2:great battles expansions. They realese extra sales on first older but not old expansions so its worth to buy all of it :)
Italian planes in this period had terrible stalling characteristics. Don't go too slowly, and maybe you can use flaps. I can't remember if you could do that on this plane

@@PRODRIVE177 kup na stronie bezpośrednio ilka a potem można podpiąć pod steam ale ze strony lepsze promki i cała kasa dla developerów. Bundle nie ma ale opłaca się brać wersje rozszerzone czyli z samolotami premium.

@@ColdmanSnowball Yeah, even though I don't play IL2 (although I want to), I am hearing a lot of complaints about the pilot being killed on landing and from looking at examples of that, I can see it is just broken. Well maybe he died from blunt force trauma idk

I used to do flight sim videos with IL-2 Cliffs of Dover. Would you recommend Great Battles as a game to get back into flight simming with?

Extend flaps at low speed they do magic. At low speed with flap extended it can follow anything except the hurricane.
How do you like it compared to the 109?
Comparing e7 vs mc202 i like italian more because its faster and after ammo patch those italian guns are quite ok.

I tried to warn him but he didnt realized that he has no gear down. He belly landed pretty good but this new pilot phisycs is terrible.
