@TheFonyTerguson She did in the context of saying Izzy has been where he is now so asking if he maybe had an insight from experience. Wasn't the best question but wasn't a bad one. Got Izzy to open up a bit more anyway so to be fair I'm probably not giving the question enough credit

Sad when primes just suddenly end like this, you don’t get to see your favorite fighters gracefully retire without them suddenly finding it hard to win.
Didn't your favorite fighter think he could beat Jon Jones?
Graceful retirement sounds nice, but the natural progression of the division relies on the better guys falling off to build up the next generation. It proves the quality of the new guys and confirms the end for the old guys. It is like the circle of life - just with punches…. Even the old guys know that they have to become the food as part of the process.
LOL DO YOU CRY LIKE YOUR TOO
That's because the level is so high if you lose even half a step this is how it looks the new competition in his division just finished him off.
A true legend and champion will always continue to test himself untill he feels its not longer worth it. That's what he's doing. Continuing to test himself and see if he can continue to grow.
We are still here with you, you are still one of the greatest ever. You faced every challenge, in and out of the octagon. We salute you.

"Mad respect indeed. It takes real courage and class to face the world after a tough loss, especially for an all-time great like Izzy. 🥊💔 Seeing legends push through the later stages of their careers is bittersweet-it reminds us of their humanity and the sacrifices they’ve made. All time great?? 😂😂 have a day off
He ran the middleweight division for 3 years, and got it back from an absolute monster in Pereira

Especially when they seem to not want to win the fight. This was Anderson Silva gesturing for a knockout 2.0
It is interesting when these guys were on top, they can be polarizing and may be hated but when they face challenges or a downfall, fans often empathize with their struggles which can lead to a newfound respect or affection as fans recognize the hard work, dedication, and resilience required to compete at such a high level.
They act obnoxious though, when at the top. Everyone appreciates humility.
Give it like 5 years Izzy’s haters will dissipate into the air and he’ll be regarded the same way Usman is despite Usman also being quite hated in his heyday. Even GSP was disliked for being “boring” but now regarded as a goat and the most beloved champ in UFC history

Early stoppage. He was definitely caught and it was definitely possible it would still have been stopped, but Izzy was covering and starting to backup to buildup. Same as when a wrestler bellies down and then shuffles back to start working on standing. Mike Goddard is a legend himself as a ref, so no hate on him, but I think it should have gone just a little longer. This is coming from someone who is not an Izzy fan.
also watch the replay every single punch on the ground missed Izzy head, watching it live i was screaming "stop it" but seeing the replay i was like no, it was def too early.
Mark goddard a legend? Seems every other fight he refs there’s some bs from him.
Finally someone saying it. It was absolutely way too early of a stoppage. Got rocked, fell against the cage, recovered on his knees and elbows, maybe 3 punches thrown after and MAYBE just one of those landed, which didn't even rock him again, and then the ref stopped it. Not just early, but a flat out horrible stoppage. They don't even give fighters time to recover anymore. But more than likely it's bigger than just a bad stoppage. Or a ref not doing a good job. UFC politics more than likely. Time to replace people, kind of thing.
No it wasn’t early wasn’t getting up anytime soon he only got up bc the red stopped it lmao
@no_going_back8456 LOL what? That doesn't even make sense. He wasn't unconscious. Literally 3 punches were thrown after he went to knees and elbows, and maybe one landed. What do you he wasn't getting up anytime soon lol. It's MMA, he didn't have to get up at all if he didn't want to. He wasn't even given a chance to recover, and wasn't unconscious.
