Just got this style done at my natural hair salon yesterday! But since I didn't want to use heat, they twisted up the front part using styling foam and put perm rods at the end of the twists. It looks so good right now even with the twists in! I'm gonna be rockin this style for a while before I even let out the twists. Thanks for the inspiration!! Oh - and bonus... my hubby (hard to please w/natural styles) LOVES IT!! 😁
This is such a cool style. I've done flat twists straight up instead of swooped and with a bantu knot-out on top. Shout out to momma for coming through on those braids! It aint easy doing it on your own head.

Very nice style! An idea-You could do crochet in the front with a curly hair, a good one would be Freetress Fluffy Wand Curl which would give the look of your natural wand curls minus the heat and you wouldn't have to worry about the falling curls or what to do to maintain the curls.
Such a beautiful hairstyle. Wrapping your hair around flexi rods the same way you did on the curling wand at night will help you be able to keep the curls.
I did this style before but with flat twist on the back. To preserve it, put a little bit of mousse and eco styler gel (don't go heavy on the gel) on the sections you wand curled and roll it with a flexi rods and undo it the next morning and fyi you don't have to do this step every night, the gel+mousse will keep your curls looking fresh and it doesn't have any crunchy feeling.

Pin curls overnight are a great way to help wand curls keep their shape for DAYS!! You also avoid the discomfort of sleeping with rollers in your hair. 😃

Very Pretty Toni!!! When I wore wand curls, I pulled my hair in a loose pineapple and wrapped it around in a loose bun, then Bobby pinned the end down....it lasted about a week; looser curls daily....HTH..🌹
I think i am going to test this out as a style for graduation. I loved how it looks on you. I may alter by just twisting the front and flexi rod it. I don't really like to add heat to my hair unless necessary.
