Great reefies. Those blue or steel salmon cook up real nice in beer batter( just as good as barra if you ask me) and they were good size. I recommend you guys try some numbs with the queenies. Delicious and refreshing lunch. Top episode 👏
Oh hey mate, thanks for that, yeah I didn’t know exactly what sort of salmon they were, but I figured a blue salmon like over in the Kimberley, but yeah they were far bigger than any others that I have seen. In hindsight yeah we should’ve try some numas
Hey Craig, yeah mate we met Murray. He is a nice bloke. The first day I was there he told me my boat was too big for that river, and on the day we left the sander next time I come up here I’ll be bringing a boat your size. You will see him in the final episode, filming us and how we got the boat out of the water on the low tide he was pretty impressed. I look forward to seeing him up there again, one day.
@@_OuterLine Cool, yep awesome spot thats for shore, yes Murray knows his stuff there lovely bloke, I only missed use by a few weeks I was there to for 5 weeks, yes 5m boat pretty easy to handle there. I pull mine out every day, Great Ep,
Thanks Clinton, yeah mate, driving around in circles looking for new ground really paid off 😂😂 I’d love to spend a lot more time there and go out a lot deeper it would be next level
Gday mate. Great video and awesome fishing. Now this isn’t a criticism mate, as I used to release heaps of Fingers thinking I was doing the right thing, BUT, I was made aware of some research that has prove that 100% of Fingermark die after release from Barotrauma in over 12m of water, so might be worth keeping them. Strangely enough, under 10m of water the survival rate is over 90%. As I say mate, not a criticism just thought you’d like to know. 😉👌🏻
Thanks mate yeah sure was, and I’m guessing there’s plenty more ground out there. Once I figured out what I was looking for, it was quite easy to find some good country
you guys need to be more croc cautious especially at night time by the waters edge... turning your back to the water and stuffing around is a big no no up there. That river system is home to huge crocs
I was wondering why you have been trimming Cody's hair over this series. I went back to watch the rest of your vids. I get it now. Ps - Great channel, Great fishing and Great banter. I hope Cody did not get a Barra and you have to eat a eye. 🤤
Haha thanks for your message Bill! Yeah he needed a trim mate, the “curtains” as he calls them had to go lol. And you’ll see next episode if he gets a Barra or not 😁
Hasn’t really changed since I been up there in 2009 see you didn’t find the crabs walking on low tide best and easiest crabs to get knee deep water on low tide sand bottom their out walking all over it free feed every day once you fine them
Ya spoilt for species , sardines in oil or spring water , is about as far as a choice we see Love ya rig , Sir drop a lot , should invest in a gimble and a 5kg bag of patience
Hey mate, I’ll check your videos out for sure! My favourite fish to eat is a pearl perch or coral trout, and my favourite fish to catch is a blue bone or blackspot tusk fish
Sorry mate but this is how we afford to be able to continue to provide you with Free content to watch. The time and effort that goes into these videos not to mention the money spent to fund these trips need to be warranted somehow….So our apparel is something that helps with this.
That pond is full of Barra!! Surface action is good too !
Nice fishing and very impressed to see you catch and release when you have what you need. Love it!

penny was always my favourite spot lived in weipa for 11 years
That was one Sick session. Kind of reminds me of chasing Snapper on plastics when the big Snapper schools are firing in SA
Yeah that would be awesome, I’ve always wanted to go down to Arno Bay and chase some real Trophy Snapper
Myself and three mates heading there in May 2024. Hope we can find the fingermark

Thanks Vicky! Next time we are there we will definately have a look !

Had anxiety watching boys at water edge at night. We were stalked by a 4mtr croc all night in that exact spot.
EPIC
Thanks mate
YEEEEEEW. #1
Chhheeeeeeeer hoooooooooo 😆😆😆
Hey, Bro! It turns out it IS the size of the hammer that matters!!😂
How good is the season on the Goldie’s! When are yous coming back for round 2? 🔥
Hey big fella, ha ha yeah I might have to fly up this time and come out for a run with you
What hat are you and the young blond bloke wearing? The akubra style?
That's wat ya call a blue nose salmon brother
Never ever give up Goldy/Fingermark for dirty ole Nanny. I rate goldy right behind trout as the best eating fish in the sea.
It was delicious, I write it up there with the best fish I’ve eaten
I’ll never understand the love people have for trout. Not even in my top 5
@@flipspearing I think the same of Red Emperor.
Threadfin salmon r the best
