You should slide the small part inwards when you pull off the fuel line. NOT OUT 02:01 It is really hard connector and if you pull the little part out it is still hard to get the connector out.
@@blackmoonkey 02:01 slide the little yellowgreen slide inwards NOT out. Then pull the fuel hose out when that slide is more in and it widens the connectors small black parts. You slide it out like that when you put the hose connector back. Then you slide it back to its locking place. Slide part in when hose comes out. And slide part out when hose goes in. I think it works like that.
I'm about to install this tank. Sorry about your troubles. I ave also purchased the locking cap. If it had worked what were you going to to with the existing vent hose? Thanks
Hey, thanks for the video! Do you know the diameter of the cap by any chance? I'd like to purchase a locking cap with it but looks like Acerbis has 2 sizes (small/big) but their website is quite unhelpful they don't show the measurements of the tank :( Thanks!
Hello. The internal diameter is same for both caps. 2.75" or 70mm. I found the unlocking easier to use, but would be worried if leaving bike unattended for long with vandals. The locking cap on Acerbis website still looks the same, not updated. You can override the venting issue by placing a small hole in the locking cap diaphragm, but still didn't vent well in my case. Good luck!

I don't think you need to worry about it, goes to the cat. Place a 1 way valve away from cat, I think you'll be set. Thanks!

why didn't the locking cap work?
Wouldn't vent properly.
@@MotoNiz I just installed one and it seems to work just fine. Maybe they have corrected the old design issue.
About the acerbis tank, can you tell me the capasity and the range in miles, tanks. Paco
Yes. It's about 3.5 gallons, I am getting in around 200-220 miles safely before I fill.
