I'm glad you opened a sealed box. I just bought a pair from an import store today that were a little more expensive than TCGP prices, but cheaper than Collector's Cache. Good to know that as long as the seals are intact, they should be fine!
seals dont mean much nowadays they have been spoofed best to just buy from trusted vendors/stores

The good thing with Wish is that they wanna keep their reputation. So if you request a refund because you got fake cards they’ll almost always give you a full refund (including shipping)

I have a binder-behavior question: I recently gotten a D-ring binder after winning some Pokemon cards. They were already in sleeves, and I put them in the card pages bought that were bought separately. I am also storing them in my room where the air conditioning is on - with the binding standing up. Is that good enough to store my Pokemon cards, or is there things I need to change?

Love this Pat! We had a kid come in the other day hoping to sell his Pokémon cards and was pretty excited. I was the one that had to break the bad news to him and his dad that the cars were all mostly fake. It’s good to have this content out there so others can learn from it.

I saw some obvious fake cards on Mercari and they were charging pretty high prices too. I feel like they are banking on people with little to no knowledge of Pokemon who might be buying as a gift or something.

I’ve read some reviews saying TCG stadiums cards are brighter colours than normal ones.

Do you use the barcodes at the card where it's printed cause I think you will get items either on the Pokemon games published by the Pokemon Company or items from Pokemon in real life.

I've seen bootleg card boxes using a look-alike seal with Pokéballs... literally at the nearest chinese stores here XD
I got a few legit plushes from wish (back when it was cheaper and actually came compared to ebay) and a thing I *always* did was check reviews with pictures. If they didn't habe pictures, I didn't risk it. Always knew what I got, and always made sure I wanted what I saw

Hey Pat, I used to buy cards on amazon but after getting quite a few fakes, I found a better way than ripping to check for the black in the middle. All you gotta do is shine a light on one side of the card (I use my phone) and if you look on the other side of the card and see the side of the card that you're shinning the light through on the other side its fake. The real cards are unable to be seen even with a light and I think that's why it's there in the first place probably to stop any cheating of seeing through the cards.
As a mtg player, I dont understand how black core is somehow a way to tell its real. Mtg cards have a blue core, but all the china fakes are black core, since black core stock is easy to get. So I'd just assume pokemon fakes are also black core. Seems like a bad way to determine if a card is real or not.
