Why Film on a Bicycle
Traditional video makers tend to walk, which unless great care is taken, produces a bounce in the video footage. I find filming on a motorbike can be too fast, not allowing you to take in the scenery. The bicycle allows me to interact with people whilst providing smooth footage. If you find it is still too fast, then you can slow the video speed down to half speed, which will still be 30 frames per second.
Why doesn’t the footage look clear
Sometimes I make an error when shooting the video (but very rarely) The most common cause is that your internet connection on YT has set the resolution to below 4K, so check your settings.
Camera Equipment
Since starting the channel I have used my trusty DJI Osmo Pocket 2 (Creator combo)
The Combo comes with a Bluetooth microphone which has given great performance, even when riding at speed. I film at 4K & 60 frames per second, my light and ISO settings are on Auto. The Camera is strapped to my left wrist (so it might appear that I am close to things on the left). I control the Camera head via an application on my phone (Mimo), using my right hand Thumb. Action cameras to date, have smaller light sensors and are not competitive at present for low light filming.

How do the bars stay open ?
Positive thoughts. I'd guess their rents are low and it's cheap to live, so they'll try to see out the high season in the hope their place becomes popular. Personally I'd be surprised if half of them survive the 1st quarter 24...
Been back a week dave, while I was there, I treated a soi dog that made his home in coco bar on chyapoon, also stocked the bar with food..they were so greatful ..I caught a glimpse of him on your tour and he looks to be doing well..thumbs up on thi🎉one dave
Is Nelson back in the bar yet? I heard of his troubles back in the Spring of 2023. I spent a lot of time in Coco & friends bar, particularly my Xmas 2022 break of 6 weeks. Then returned in May '23- June '23 for a month, but had a week in The Philippines too.

It's great to see Duangjai Bar make it into your thumbnail. I told you some months ago that they entertain me everytime you ride by. Cute as ladyboys go and always putting out a fun vibe. You should slow down and give them a sawasdee krap as you go by. It would make for good content! As for the guys you said come to Pattaya and never leave Soi Pothole, I can see why. There's a really wide variety of bars and types of girls there, as well as food and decent music, with a mellow atmosphere that doesn't look very hard sell. After watching your channel for a long time, it's the first street I'd go to. I'm a bit old and slow-moving, so a low-key one-stop, something-for-everyone kind of street looks like just the ticket.
I found some bars in Tree Town charge 1000-1500 for LT bar fine. So, I prefer Soi Made in Thailand with 500B BF even LT.
If high season is a bust, and it gets quiet now until songkran and that seems to be more and more thais that come down from bkk that dont use ferang bars How will the bars survive?

The heavy traffic on 2nd Road is probably heading for Central or Terminal 21 for shopping and restaurants. Mostly Thais and they never go to the bars.

I regards to western tourists, I think this is pretty much how its going to be for the next years. due to world economic slowdown, flight prices and inflation. maybe thailand can increase the asian visitor numbers, but thats kind of a different crowd.

Great video. Found your channel a few days ago. I've been a regular in Pattaya for the last 18 years and I'll be back again in January. I've got a bicycle over there myself as I like to get out of town in the afternoon and get away from it all for a while. I usually disappear over to the dark side and around the lake to burn off the previous nights drinking. I usually get overtaken by groups of thai guys all riding together. Do you know of any cycling clubs out around that area.

Have a great Christmas and New year Dave, an observation from me, is that if the bars are ( relatively) so quiet how will the girls make enough to justify the life. Often it seems that there is a superstar who gets most of the business with the others getting their chances when its really busy. There must be a lot just going wages to wages to survive without much extra to send home?
Christmas and New Year used to be very busy. All seats taken in bars. Now busier but not crazy.
I looked into visiting over Christmas, but airfare prices were insane.
Yes, It's high season (just about), but nowhere close to 'Peak Season' in the Farang areas.

I noticed that the Sick Buffalo bar is history, across from tree Town, Do you think the girls saw it as bad luck? Never saw any customers in the place, but thought the "Corporate" logo was funny as hell.
You might be right about the choice of bar name. Refurb work was going on in there last week, so the bar will re-open soon. Not sure about name, though.

Taxi, pre book, between 1000-1200. No you do t get charged. Both unfortunately...Costs depends on the girl and your negotiating skills 🤣🤣
