We had one that wasn't to bad and had a few decent rides with MGM Grand Adventures...but they were to stupid to manage it properly... I still have a map and a few pieces of merch from there when I went in the early 90s...It was a far better park at the time than Universal Hollywood was by far...We went twice But yeah an indoor park like this would be a good fit for sure
@@demonoid7469 I think I’ve seen a few videos about that in the past. I’ve been living in Vegas for about 7-8 years now. I think an indoor theme park would be a hit.
Seeing a Cartoon Network section is so cool because that channel was literally my entire childhood. I remember staying up past my bed time when I was like 6 watching the old powerpuff girls lol
Avengers battle of Ultron and Forbidden Territory are Oceaneering rides. Hulk 3D is Dynamic Attractions but I think the rights to the system are owned by Cavu. Ride of ooo, Dino carousel and the Avengers spinning ride are IE park. Gumball is ETF with the shooting system by Alterface. Velociraptor block zone is 1 metre higher than Bluefire, so it does not have to be trimmed, which makes it flow better. I was Tech director at IMG for the completion of the project and the first year of opening. There were a lot more staff in the early days. There were big visitor numbers for the first 6 months, then nothing. It's a great park, it just does not get the visitors to support the place. The location is not the greatest as it is next to global village, which costs a few dollars to get into.
Amazing vlog, as always! Really loving this series. The chemistry between y'all is just perfect. Truly wondering how these parks can even stay open, when attendance appears to be this tragic.
You guys rock!!! I love your videos, Taylor and Sarah. You two give me a way to enjoy beautiful places that I may not get to see. I love roller coasters! I have been blessed to ride most of the greats in America 🇺🇸. All but 1... iron gwazi. That will change very soon since I live here in Florida. Hurricanes kinda derailed our trips unfortunately... Ian was the one that really hurt. Anyway you two thank you so much. My favorites here #1 Velocicoaster, #2 Montu, #3 Mako, #3 Hagrids, #5 Maverick, #6 Millinium Force, #7 Panteon, #8 Kumba, #9 Cheetah Hunt, #10 X-2
It's sad how their Marvel section has better theming than Avengers Campus at the Disney parks. It's also weird how a Cartoon Network area is located here instead of Warner Brothers World in Abu Dhabi.
It is incredibly creative that they used the theming for Spiderman to make the netting under the track essentially be the webbing. Probably the only time I’ve ever seen that actually be incorporated into the theming.
I’ve been a follower for 5 years, seen almost every video… hearing and seeing this intro makes me cry tears of pure bliss! The intro is chefs kiss as it gives me the chills, but also you guys are internally beautiful. Would love to meet y’all one day!! 💛 Much love from Kentucky!!
Great vlog guys ! Such a shame you couldn’t or didn’t get permission to film on the rides, I did in 2019 as I had prior emailed the park and they took me around as a VIP guest, it was AWESOME oh and I got in for free
Another fantastic CTD episode. Really loved this series. Something I personally would love and maybe other viewers who dream of visiting places like this is maybe a price breakdown video. I would to know where you guys stayed and how much everything cost so maybe myself and others could do this in our futures! Love you guys, thanks
IMG is like one of the weirdest parks I've been too. It's genuinely a very good park with a good selection of rides, yet there was nothing that I was particularly compelled to ride again, despite the lack of queues. I'm glad you all liked Hulk, it too is still the stand out ride for me. It was back in 2017 and I'm glad it still holds up in 2024! Oh and yeah, as Matt said, that queue line music for The Ride of Oooooo is epic 🎉
That's weird how you would get that problem of flying up into the OTSRs because usually that's not even what keeps you in the ride, it's the bottom horizontal part that pushes on your waist.
Yeah, the walls on the Taiga queue (and the queue for Salama, the spinner) are ridiculous at Linnanmäki but it's impossible to avoid since the park is next to a bunch of schools so plenty of kids come in and they'll have their pencil case with them and such. The only way to avoid that would be bag checks for everyone which wouldn't make sense in a free to enter park.
@@CoasterStudios Yeah, and thats on top of other expenses too like simply flying to Dubai, hotels, and either a rental car or taxi to reach the parks since public transit barely exists in the city. So all of that on top of the high ticket prices definitely deter a lot of people. Especially when there's also competition in the area. I myself visited a month ago but I only had a budget for visiting 2 theme park-ish attractions. That ended up being Atlantis and Motiongate. And even then those both cost around twice what parks back home in Denmark do each, despite arguably not being twice as good.
You visited during exam season (which is actually why I wasn't able to take the 5 min drive to meet you guys) About the park being empty, i personally visit only when there's some kind of academic holiday so in all my visits there was some actually substantial crowds. I remember it was 1 hour for veloci and 1.5 hours for spiderman
Bummed none of you are fans of Amazing World of Gumball. It looks like they did an awesome job with the theming, and it seems like you barely showed it off at all. Definitely think you should watch it. It's a great show, and given how big of a SpongBob fan you are I think you'll really like it.
Right!? The fact that it has a ride but the movie is still rusting on a shelf somewhere boggles my mind 😮💨 Amazing theming though! Would pay out the nose for a Cartoon Network land in the US 😭
I did the hulk 3d ride when I visited Dubai and I just got so much motion sickness from it. It’s insane. Never got that motion sickness before and after.
Such a shame that these parks are literally empty, I don't know how sustainable this is for Dubai in all honesty. They either need to lower the prices or advertise the parks much better than they do right now.
Another great, entertaining video 😊 Can you remind us what month you visited? It's pretty great that you did not have to wait in line anywhere, but I'm realizing as I'm watching your video that having minimal crowds is part of a theme park's ambiance. Feels like something is missing in an empty park. You having to wait for other people to join on the platform before they could dispatch the ride was somethin' - especially knowing that they don't let riders stay on the ride when there are zero people in line. If I had to walk for five straight minutes to exit and walk back in in a deserted ride, I'd probably pull an eye muscle from rolling my eyes so much. 🙄😒
Wish you guys would have gone on the topspin! It was giving me KI Tomb Raider vibes. Sad that we’ve lost so many of them in the US. The Spider-Man coaster looked really fun. Is Matt a part of Coaster Studios now? He’s so much fun 😎
The only thing you should know about the amazing world of gumball is that it’s the one of the best kids shows to ever exist, srsly you should give it a try (skip the first 2 seasons tho lol) great video as always too!
Oh yeah, it and Adventure time are both pretty darn great for both kids and adults. And yeah Gumball has like a fairly typical family and school and what not but things just go crazy. Like there's an episode where they run out of money and their whole world falls apart. Literally. All the animation breaks down and glitches out, and degrades until its nothing but crunchy audio and still pictures of post it notes with scribbles on them!
Chicken didn’t seem upset. Anyway, I agree a park like this would be good for Florida. I wonder why not already. Not as aesthetically pleasing or the AC bill. Idk.

Dubai developers spend so much money and then still fall back on overuse of cheap lazy screens, "integrated" in some of the most awkward ways.
