Ateroys was never a royal siblings and we have proof of it in story there are some hints also , first one is of royal family pic in which ateroys is not found but instead he is a step brother or a rebel disguise as royal siblings the possibility of this is mostly of zariek falling into depression after his wife death or there is some hypnotism magic done to him and to rest of siblings. One more interesting thing about this is that Ateroys in endless dead can be a close relative of Zaerik but he have died in there and a skilled rebel general took his position years later endless dead period. Spearlos also pointed it out, but it failed cause of zaerik depression condition. Shade most likely found about this lately and confronted Ateroys but she was killed or is she? cause she can clone herself right? but now only person who can match ateroys is dead who is gonna defeat him now.

@EthanFong-g8g The lore hasn't finished yet and lemme explain it his appearance In this timeline Mera escaped in order empire with the help of Sicklebear and after Atreyos betrayed by the order empire he went to thier Mera&Sicklebear's side and that's why he got a vampiric power also the helmet is pretty old it was abandoned and now he will gonna use it for revenge and for shade is it was a mistake.
