Noviex out here becoming a regular storyteller. As someone who hasn't played a lot of Btz but only heard of these things in whispers here and there, this almost feels like a short retrospective documentary.
The first time I played the game and another player invaded me, I didn't even know I had the mode activated (it was the default at that time). The guy noticed I was a newbie and decided to role-play a bit. You can't imagine the heart attack seeing the Hunter appear in front of me on the bridge. From then on, it turned into a cat-and-mouse game, and the guy basically had fun playing with his prey XD
If they added BTZ to DL2 that would be nuts, paired with the paraglider and larger verticality, i could see some crazy matches happening, i really hope the devs consider it
Even with it not surprising me, i could never get into the mode. Skill issue i’m sure, but the heart attack inducing combat (and as you said the lack of real new player tutorials) left a bad taste in my mouth. But I know how popular the mode is for pretty much the rest of the community, so I’m happy it keeps players coming back to this amazing game. Now if Techland added a similar mode to DL2, I’m sure all the community would love it. Great video!
Idk man, dying light 2 combat feels pretty awful compared to the physics-based version from the first game. Id like to see a return for BtZ but I dont trust the new tech land given how mediocre the second game is
Me too but im still not able to catch the dam night hunter when he pounces cause i can't turn the camera to use the UV light on the night hunter and its BS man. I dont know what the problem is but i cant turn when i get grabbed by the night hunter even if i use a controller or switch to keyboard
My 3rd time playing today and I keep seeing and finding new little details...earlier today at the river/fisherman's, I fought a few zombies and I decided to stay tactical, so I went to a boat pier. I then killed 2 zombies but they fell into the water, after killing the remaining zombies, I went for the loot but when under water, they were still alive, they had their eyes open, tweaking and mouths open as if they were trying to breath...sht was mind boggling tbh love
I had disabled invasions my first time playing. I was max level in all my skills except Survivor and Legend, I was like level 18 in Survivor. Playing on the Slums map, I enabled invasions and almost immediately got invaded. However, since I was super high-level, the game paired me up with a super high-level Night Hunter when I was inexperienced in playing as Crane. The first invasion, I ragequit. I was so bad at fighting the Night Hunter, and they kept UV-cancelling spitting at me then pouncing me, and I couldn't even make it to a volatile nest. I wish I had gotten into it at the start of the game instead of disabling it so I could be prepared for fighting like, a level 8 Juggernaut or whatever the hell the rank was, instead of being thrown into the game with 0 knowledge. I still don't know shit about playing as Crane, I had only ever played on the Night Hunter side and I was like level 3 without evolving. Only Night Hunter game I ever played as Kyle Crane.
That is genuinely near exactly how my first BTZ game went but I kept everything as it was and carried on with the nights. I freaking loved the idea that randomly, someone could hop in to try and wreck my shi-.
I never thought I’d have my calling to return to this game. I stopped after running in with modders consistently but this gives me the idea to try things again.
Maan, i sold my ps4 and buy a Xbox 2 years later, i enter Dying Light after years pf waiting to be back, and when i saw the menu, i could remember all the good and the bad moments, i remember my friends, my rivals, my old inventory, all of it, after this, i had a thought, that said me like "Continue?" and now im here again, playing my favorite game, with the most difficult pvp mode ever, i love it.
I take breaks from the game as well but always seem to come back I think it’s something to do with the pvp because no other game I’ve ever played has had such unique and fun pvp it’s a shame techland stopped supporting it
@@Noviex you were a fan of the man himself? That's so cool, man truly showed to everyone on yt how to make God tier stylish editing with such simple stuff.
I remember being really into this mode when the game first came out and was fairly good at night hunter at the time. Then I took a year's break and when I came back one of the first matches I had a faced a solo who had an infinite UV light and a rifle with infinite ammo in the clip with bullets that one-shot you. Needless to say that was the day I said fuck it and never touched that mode again. Idk how they'd do it but I'm really sad that techland never tried to put in some sort of anti-cheat for the modded weapons. But then again I also faced a night hunter who had infinite UV block and the spits had infinite effects so I think the mode was just lost once the modders got in.
I questioned if I was just shitty because I remember coming back after a bit off and getting absolutely destroyed either by groups of survivors with infinite flares and lamps or by a hunter who just spammed UV spits, took me a bit to realize how bad the hacking was,
I avoid modded items like the plague, even on console they are in abundance. It gets hard finding people not using them though, and most of the time its new players in fresh clothes.
i honestly took a 3 year break from dying light and the pvp just because the amount of drama that makes this game so scuffed but came back a few months ago and everything cooled down a bit

Once i was a hunter. I saw a new player. I decided to mess with them. I stalked them for the first 7 minutes. Then came in from behind and clawed them and ran before they could see me. He became very paranoid. I came in and tackled him and fought him. He had no idea about the uv light so i had to go against my urge to pounce him. Then finely when he got close to a nest i pounced him. He quit shortly after. Probably spooked or somethin.

I tried my hand at DL pvp for the first time tonight and I enjoyed it... to a degree. One person was absolutely using cheats or hacks with invincibility & instantly destroying all nests by himself, literally went from 5 to 0 nests on my first death? Another person somehow *always* knew what direction I was coming from even at a distance and no matter how hard I tried, I could absolutely never land a tackle unless I tried to initiate it while I was in his face (which even then failed 8/10 times), once the survivor knows the name of the game, I feel like they have the upper hand rather than the nighthunter, especially if it's a high level survivor farming low level hunters 'cause like... what the hell do I do?
