A friend of mine plays one of the leads. I thought the movie was terrific, the music fabulous. I just read a review of it somewhere and it said that Frannie reveals that she is not pregnant! Now, I have seen this movie at least 7 times, especially when I realized my friend was in it. In all the times I've watched it, I never heard or saw one word about Frannie not being pregnant. Anyone? Also, when they made this movie pretty much everyone was a newcomer. I think they thought Perry King would be the breakout lead, not Sly Stallone or Henry Winkler, and in the credits Perry King's name is first. I knew of Susie Blakely as a model. She was gorgeous as was Perry King.
If you were lucky enough to spend at least One Day with someone who made your heart skip everytime you saw them, you are very lucky. I read The Book and the big problem was that Chico was too worried about losing his image as a Macho Man to his Friends. Jane loved him but they were too different and Chico didn't want to change who he was for her or anyone.
A Similar Scene was in the movie Heaven Help Us aka Catholic Boys where Danielle aka "Dani" took Michael Dunn to Coney Island in 1965 just before everything opened. They listened to Music and walked along The Beach.
I like the scene in French without subtitles. You can imagine their dialogue to about Jean Paul Sartre, Camus, and all other things existential, rather than the banal dialogue in the original. I love the song and wish I could find it to put in my Ipod.
This song cannot be found anywhere but on the movie , I believe the artist is Jamie Carr but there is no release of the song anywhere , boo fucking hoo
This does happen with soundtracks. Uhg. And here with my very favorite scene. I do not know/have not seen how some fair (fare!) better than to just allow it to be apart of the whole. So many soundtracks. Screw them. OK, I feel better. No not really. 😏
I was mesmerized by this flick when I was a kid.
I'd imagine that it's more popular in Europe though. They always like little gems like this.
a truelly great movie and soundtrack lots of memories
I Have Seen This Movie A Number of
Times.
In an interview Perry King said that this movie was made on a tiny budget. Very many of these scenes appear to be lit by just available ambient light.
Great memories thanx I remember this movie 😊😂❤
i don't know why but i like old songs n liked all sounds at once after watching the movie))
This song is the story of my life..
Loved this film when I was a wee bit younger, sounds as a clip better in french!!!???

this movie came out when i was 12 till this day i'm shocked as to how many people have not seen it.
loseyourwings I've seen it recently, never thought I would see Rocky as a greaser, but good movie love this song in the background
It was the stepping stone for Rocky and Fonzie, not the breakouts.

I had no idea there was a book. Is it the same title as the movie? I'd love to read it.
Yes, you can go and check it out on Amazon but it costs a Pretty Penny. I'm sure you can find it for a cheaper price.
But I think he could have changed, and been a good husband
@@tinaholman956 What happened to Chico in the Book Version is very sad.
Love this movie , since I was ten years old … I a lot older now lol still love it !
Can never find this scene in English on TH-cam. Weird !
Meravigliosa

Does anyone know who wrote this song? I can't find it anywhere.
This is a great movie . You can get it on Amazon.com
Who is the singer?! He just starts screaming when the notes go higher. I love it!!!
Jamie Carr
He was trying to tell her he understood but she couldn't hear him..... I felt sorry for then both but mostly for Chico....
+Nickcat5 even didnt give a chance for him ((

Feel sorry for chico
Had a'67 just like Chico's. Some bike. Of course there's been my share of Janes. They came and went but that shovelhead was one of a kind
Jane should have married Chico he would have been a good husband,he was rowdy, but he would have been a good husband
In English please the entire song please.....
Bit like a prequel to Wanderers
She just wanted to taste the wild side for a while. He fell for her cause she was straight.
I think he fell in love, but he didn’t stand a chance with her. Different class.
oh chico you ruined my dress i wonder what he was doing i would of ruined her face
