Which following sentences is correct? And why?
Letzes Jahr ich habe Tomatoen angebaubt. or Letzen Jahr ich habe Tomaten angebaut.
In german sentence structure "last year" refers to dative case or nomative case?

Letztes Jahr habe ich Tomaten angeboutet

"Letztes Jahr habe ich Tomaten gepflanzt." In the first position you have "letztes Jahr" so the verb "habe" comes second. Then comes your subject "ich" followed by the direct object "Tomaten" and then your past tense verb "gepflanzt" is last. The verbs stay in the second position or come at the end. You can also say "Tomaten habe ich letztes Jahr gepflanzt." Or "Ich habe letztes Jahr Tomaten gepflanzt."
