Val O'Brien so, long hair means its automatically a girl? Oh please. He was born male and has stated that he just wants to be different and stand out. Feel free to have you’re own opinion but don’t be rude.
I was part of the team that helped set up for this Tedtalk and can say that the applause and cheering came through better in person than it did on this video. The microphones just were not good. Notice how quiet both Elias and Zion sounded when they were speaking right directly into the microphone. The audience was feet away from the microphones, they weren't going to pick up well on the audience.
Guitar was not out of tune, it's the sound man! These are kids, they enjoyed playing what they obviously wanted to play. They are extremely talented musical children and all good comments should only be mentioned, negative keep off line. kids don't need to be knocked of made self conscious.
Totally agree ! Not sure if it’s jealousy or just stupidity but these are just young boys living happy lives doing what they’re absolutely blessed with !
strange episode, unexpected. they remind of me of the group Hanson. very independent, long haired, offbeat kids, strong skills in musical composition and instruments, song writing, and absolute pitch. I just saw them on America's Got Talent, said they were 9, still have very little toddler speech patterns, but that also happens in twins. I wouldn't doubt it if they still engage in secrets twin-speak. also they look like they might be fraternal twins.
Vera Shelton: I love these boys - live very close to their home town (although I've never met them in person). HOWEVER, their Mom must have chosen for them to perform here as a boost to their resumes. If you have ever listened to any "TED Talks", they don't really "do" musical performances (other than the rare child prodigy). TED is more about serious Scientific discussions, new brilliant mathematical concepts, discussions about space & time - possibly new discoveries of stars, etc. Therefore, the audience here is geared to be a far more serious/genius class of people. Many people in the audience here likely don't ever listen to much music, so it's not that they didn't LIKE it, so much as they didn't really know how to process it very well (& certainly didn't know the appropriate way to react to it). Before I get slammed, let me clarify: I'm NOT dissing the TED Talks at all......they are brilliant at what they do! They just simply aren't a talent show. I might also mention that the people that appear at TED Talks are judged to be worthy prior to appearing on their stage - so these boys were deemed worthy at some point, even to simply be allowed to appear here. While they ARE insanely talented, it's probably good for them to learn that they won't ALWAYS get the type of reaction that they receive on entertainment shows. It would be interesting to know who all they spoke with & what they learned while here.
yes I like you and I accept you and your brother bought you guys are awesome and funny and good at piano and one day I want to meet you that's on my bucket list and I like that song
Elias certainly has the notes all down, but he always plays fireworks pieces which are impressive to everyone. Of course you're correct, the musicality has to come later. It will be years before you see him playing anything by Chopin, for example, to take only one example.
When they were 5 bc whatever song they heard on yt (the piano covers.) Just play the song once and they already know it. Also they would do it together but I think they should stick with piano, it suits them better.
I cant even press a button as fast as he plays...(awkward stupidity) yeah ah huh thats right don't judge they're smart but their brains are only half way full. But Zion looks like a girl so much with his hair out!
YOU've got to SEE they are not so happy because of that look. Long hair, ok but that long...I can't even think of it during summer. Kids need to have friends to play. How big imagination can an adult have to play with them? Open your eyes people! They are very mature, I know , very skilled and a little bit too sad for their age
They do have plenty of fun, that's quite evident especially if you watch them on Ellen and even on AGT. I'm pretty sure they get out and have fun, they go to DisneyLand and do all that fun stuff, they're just very privileged.
Patrick B, Your choice of words belies your asian heritage and your jealousy for these free spirited young children with such natural talent oozes from your post. Must be a sad fact to some that no amount of discipline and hours of repitition forced on a child can replicate natural born talent and personality
they definitely can rattle the ivory keys. but have a hard time understanding what he's playing. he's not playing too where the words in the song he's playing Can be understood. Zion guitar was not tuned properly. I don't know why Zion can't play a song by himself. I am sure his playing, you would be able to understand the words. they will get it all worked out, as they grow older. the mother should cut the boys hair. their not girls. at least to their collar. I am sure it's embarrassing to be thought of as a girl. make use of their hair and donate to a children's cancer foundation. some place like St. Jude's hospital. some place where the parents won't be charged for the wig. at St. Jude's, they won't be. this is my opinion.
I really admire these boys and have followed them for the past 3yrs. Bless you guys! Keep it up!!
Like you? How about Love, Love, Love you Elias and Zion! You are amazing! You are great artists. Be whatever you want to be!
Musical geniuses! Adult souls in children's bodies...wow!

REMEMBER NOT ALL PEOPLE IN MUSIC INDUSTRIES ARE SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE. BILL GATES IS IN SOFTWARE INDUSTRY...
So your point is?

What a wimpy applause from the audience after kids played a knock out performance..
I know right. They should have been on their feet. That was amazing.

Zion is my fav twin.
They are extremely talented. Why did they drop out of America's got talent? That was wierd.
F A B U L O U S!!!!!
cute. Interpretation is less mature than an adult but they're definitely getting there =D

😘😘😘❤❤👍👍
It so amazing
his soul is old...:)
first time
1. I actually thought they were girls :) 2. Which one is which???
When did the boys start piano
When they were 5 bc whatever song they heard on yt (the piano covers.) Just play the song once and they already know it. Also they would do it together but I think they should stick with piano, it suits them better.
Sixth
Absolute talent, for sure! Judging by the long pony tail and the pudgy face, I'd say he's a bit of a "mommy's spoiled boy", though I could be wrong...
Extra ordinary talent GOD bless you more...
second
Zion's song was a bit depressing, but he's a good writer.
I cant even press a button as fast as he plays...(awkward stupidity) yeah ah huh thats right don't judge they're smart but their brains are only half way full. But Zion looks like a girl so much with his hair out!
If they have perfect pitch, why don't they know that guitar is OUT OF TUNE.... WTF
what a boring audiences!
Why do I feel lile I'm watching Tom&Jerry?
first
your guitar is out of tune dude.
Damn Guitar out of tune but not her fault and who ever that sound man is needs to be fired.
That's not a girl, homeboy! They are brothers.
THEY ARE FRATERNAL TWINS
Anthony Thompson Are you fucking blind?
Anthony Thompson hahahaha Yup you are definitely blind.
MAVERICK 42 They are boys, check their audition on America's Got Talent.
Nice voice, poor and untuned guitar.

Elias is a boy or a girl
+Afnan Nasser boy
Elias and Zion are twin brothers.
+WereAllAwk-weirdHere omg he looks like a girl I though he was a girl
Afnan Nasser I know right!
probably cause you've been raised with old fashioned "principles" like "boys shouldn't have long hair".... LOL
That guitar was so out of tune. Seems like mom is pushing a kid to sing when he isn't a singer or songwriter.......
they definitely can rattle the ivory keys. but have a hard time understanding what he's playing. he's not playing too where the words in the song he's playing Can be understood. Connie Ritter If you've ever watched them on Ellen, you would know that the long hair is their choice, that they like it long.
OMG 😲❤️🤗👏🏽👍
