So I relearned how to run using the “weckmethod” which is the direct opposite of what this video is saying. I have zero bias and don’t identify with my opinion. I simply want to find the most efficient way possible. what are your thoughts on the weckmethod?

If you look at the video the runner is actually following the weckmethod and landing with his head over his foot. He is actually moving side to side, you can see it when they put the line in the middle. Because his stride is quite narrow, it is a subtle side to side movement, but it is there.

@@Ready2runCa Hi, at the end What does "hips elevated" mean though? No arch in back?
Ps im asking every one..im a 30 minute 5k runner amd for some silly reason have heart set on a 20 minute5k who doesn't run atm cause worry ill over do it get an injury so walkimg alot and doing wodyweigjt and barbell exercises until feel ive made a "20min5k runners body" what ever that is...another way of thinking about it is I want to build a sprinters body whilst working on endurance with swimming rowing rucking body weight exercises, then do 5k focused run workouts. Atm I can do 3x1min30 trx supine runners for my hamstrings, I want to work up to 5x2 minutes so hamstrimgs can handle 20 minutes of tough work. Maybe get a hip flexor or split squat goal as wel...My personality i think gets in the way of the classic method but just asking around, what exercises or crosstraining goals can some one sub 20min 5k do? Thanks you.
Local pool starts masters swim classes 3 times a week in a fortnight and im a good swimmer so thinking use that as conditioning and ruck to from the pool...that reminds to work on ankles core shoulder mobility.

@@nikitaw1982 Some runners have a "hip drop" where the hip on the side of the leg off the ground drops lower than the hip on the side of the leg on the ground. Instead you want the hip on the side of the swinging leg to move forward and up as the leg swings forward. Film yourself doing a single-leg squat from the front and see if you have that hip drop. If you do, it will likely also happen when you run. Working on your hip abductors and your core can help reduce that risk, but the best way to reduce it is by doing single leg exercises while conscious of driving your hip forward and up with your knee.
