    Do you consider inventory when you're planning your DVC points use?

    Don’t ever plan on getting a value studio!!!

      TRUTH!!!! I got lucky 2 times as a non AKV owner at/around the 7 month mark. Once in a value studio (pandemic availability- 6 nights) and once in a value 2 bedroom lockoff for a 6 night stay this February. It was like finding a 🦄!

      You might get lucky with a one bedroom value.

      I got a night in a value studio in February and two nights last week (April.) Believe it or not, it was the exact same room both times! You have to own at AKV, of course. I am a very happy AKV owner. Can't wait to try Club Level at some point.

      Agreed. The value 1-bedroom seems to be the most likely to pop up.

    The founder of the dvcinfo website Mike Prewitt fell into ill health and passed off the site to a new person. The new person has not kept the site up at all and the original founder of the site passed away in October 2022. I would expect the site's information to become increasingly outdated which is a shame because other sites do not provide the same information.

      Thank you for the update. I had heard about that, but I didn’t know any specifics. Even In it’s current state, it’s still a good resource.

    Thanks for this! I was just trying to find this resource the other day when I was researching Aulani.

    Both of my home resorts are known for unicorn rooms--AKV value and Club Level studios, and Riviera tower studios. I've done well so far with booking both, but I've also done split stays, which I'm now tired of. I'll see how I do getting multiple days. I really like Touring Plans. I use it to see what the cash booking cost is for the days I travel so I can figure out my break even point. Assuming TP is correct, I'll be halfway there after about a year and a half. Those rooms are really expensive. Thanks, Jenn!

      Hello there! You DO have good access to some "unicorn" rooms with AKV and RIV - we own at both of those resorts as well! You have good taste! 😉

      @@TheMagicInTheMusic They're my two favorites for totally different reasons--AKV for the uniqueness and the authentic culture (I probably like the art more than I like the animals!) and Riv for the upscale elegance. Last week while walking on the 5th floor, which I love, I paused at that gated staircase to Club Kilimanjaro, thinking that it's impossible to book outside of the 11-month window. We are very lucky--and yes, great taste too!

    Took me about a month of work, some red bulls, and a lot if luck to get them but I did get 5days at AKL Club Studio in December. I used both sites you use to know inventory and to get a feel for the view.

      That's great! Congrats! Did you stay already or is that coming up in December of 2023? I'd love to know how you liked club level. Booking it any time in December is a major achievement! I'm impressed!

      We will stay in 2023. I will make sure to let you know how it went. My two boys, 1 and 5, my wife and myself will be going.

    Thank you for this. I had to have a look after you said there's only 15 standard studios at BWV, I was hoping to snag one next march at 7 months but they are already gone.

    • @TheMagicInTheMusic
      @TheMagicInTheMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, there are 15 dedicated standard view studios and an additional 37 that are lock-offs. So there are a total of 52, but that's still much fewer than the preferred view. Now that you know the numbers, it makes planning a lot easier in the future, at least.

    What is a club level??

    • @TheMagicInTheMusic
      @TheMagicInTheMusic  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question! Club level is a booking category that is only offered for DVC at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's on the top floor of Jambo House and they get a special lounge with drinks (including some alcohol) and snacks/light meals included.
