Can I run the camera without wifi? The wifi on the on my camera won't hold. Stays on for only a few seconds then drops out. Maybe the fix is buy different brand of camera?
It would be pretty challenging. You can, but you will have to reconnect to it every time, it will write the time lapse to the SD card and you can remove it and down load it to your computer.
Looks like a good system, but the printers I need a camera for are Klipper. I think they need to add that. It did seem to have a good picture and smooth time lapse. Could you use this as a simple monitor with no printer hookup?
Did they fix their security issues that the MKI had? With RPi 2W boards back on the shelves most savvy Marlin users will be setting up Octoprint with a USB IP camera ,why they did not just make an Octoprint/Octoklipper/Klipper compatible camera device is beyond me as they wouldn't have as much software development/update cost and much more usability, unless their goal is to mine your data!
I had used prusa connect a couple times.....now it's offline. It looks like the printer isn't getting an IP address. I even reset it. No idea what happened, but it's so slow I almost feel like it did me a favor. lol
I've got the previous version. It must have a cheap wifi radio in it, cuz it keeps losing connection to my wifi. Hope the new one is better. It would be nice to have an ethernet port
@@ChrisRiley it’s not a statement against you, wanted to make that clear. Love the video you did, but after my experience with these cameras I thought id share my experience. Should have written my previous comment a bit better.
Just got one and having a hard time uploading the Gcode. Are you having this issue?
I haven't had that problem. Does it time out or is it complaining about something else?
@@ChrisRileyit was me was using binary G code. Works after turning that off in prusia slicer
Liked, commented and previously subbed!
Thank you, Thank you!
Can you access the camera if you're not home? Or do you need to be on the same network to access the camera?
If you are using the beagle cam app, then you can see it from anywhere on your phone.
Can it fully replace Octoprint? Can you send from Cura directly to the Beagle Cam?
I don't think so, that's one thing I have asked for with Prusa Slicer as well.
Thanks for the great video Chris. Definitely going to buy one!
Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks Chris. May have to get one for some fun.
Thanks Zimmy!
Excited to receive this camera and do the review
👍🙂
A lot good info Chris, thanks!
Thanks for watching!
is this camera available to use on Mac, I can't find in App Store
Not sure on mac, I know it works on my iphone. apps.apple.com/us/app/beagleprint/id1618227328
Do you think it will work with my Neptune 4 max
I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't trust it on anything that doesn't run Marlin. If it does, then it should work.
Does this work with bambu P1S?
I'm not sure, I would guess it does not, it doesn't run Marlin firmware.
Bring out the STUNT Benchy!!! Stunt Benchy for President
I'd vote for him!
Thanks for the content, Chris! Looks like a good system for new users that don't want to fiddle with Octoprint. 59 days to ERRF!
Woo Hoo!
Does the app work on an android tablet? I'm not going to assume, made that mistake before.
Good question, I will have to try it.

You're a Klipper man!🙂 It would be a useful addition. Yes, you can use the camera without a printer.
@@ChrisRiley Thanks - That's what I thought. I really want a good camera that I can use to monitor the printers
Does this product scan?
It does not, just a camera for monitoring.
I just checked the site. MK4 is listed as a new printer on the latest firmware. That was fast. lol
Lol, I guess they don't mess around.
What if there is a mobile App in achieving this
Check layer lapse
I'll take a look.
Sorry for the beginner question, can the sw replace Octo sw?
This is a decent replacement for OctoPrint. OctoPrint has a lot more features.
i got issues if i upload gcodes i get the message [file type error!] do you know how to fix this issue i cant find it
Could be an issue with the file extension. Try changing the file name to filename.gco
Compatible with new upgrade klipper Neptune 4 !!!! ❤
Awesome!

I will have to go back and review there changes. Hopefully, they aren't trying to gather anything, but it never hurts to be safe.

I've noticed it going down, they've been making a bunch of updates.

A port would be handy. Thanks for watching
hey have issues wat kan kan ik doen staan filmkes fixen
Hey, not sure I understand the question.
That interface looks a lot like OctoPrint.
It's very similar.
The old one didn't work well. I had it.
This one seems a little better.
I hope it’s better than the original beagle. I’m going back and forth as to why two new iPhones can’t pair with the beagle
🙂👍
I was going to go buy one, but at 1080p... yikes
🙂👍
Yeah, you lost me as soon as you said it requires an online account. No thanks.
Fair enough
You'd rather have a device which you control from an app, but which doesn't require any authentication? OK.
It looks like a very poor quality, and video quality is very very bad, also very expensive, what a product is it ….
Thank you for your insight!
Well it’s overpriced, has the range of a dollar store WiFi item, and even when sitting directly next to the router it might not work
Thanks for your insight!

@@AZAGsSANDMAN No problem man, I didn't take it that way. I truly appreciate your thoughts! Thanks again for your comment.
maybe it's just me, but seems ridiculously overpriced for what it is. i mean the thing is not even small, it's BULKY.
If you have to buy a RPI to do a time lapse it's pretty cheap.
Also the Chris Riley v2 code doesn’t work oh well
