I've noticed over the years that a lot of these cheap watches will get tossed when the battery runs out, this is because it's cheaper to go buy another watch than it is to pay for someone to fit a new battery for you. I own a dirt cheap watch I bought in a department store 20 years ago and it's still going great, sure it's worn looking and it's on its third strap, but because I know how to change a battery and have the (minimal) tools to do it, it hasn't ended up in a landfill. It's funny how when you think about how the original Timex's were supposed to be disposable watches but have now gained a small cult status because they've lasted longer than expected due to having a mechanical movement and not a quartz one.
I’ve actually walked by Walmart watch counters because of your videos, I’ve yet to buy one though but they have dozens of watches for $8.88 so you can get a watch that tells time at a budget price.
I was given a walmart watch george brand as a stocking stuffer by my grandkids.. Surprisingly they work fairly well, are quite nice looking.. but it has fake dials. Day and month dial are stationary, just there for looks and are non functional. I considered it was bad gear, spring, something preventing it from working but nope. Found this to be the case with a few different George/Fossil walmart watch.
That Geneva one got a bit confused, the steampunk one would be pretty cool for cosplay or something, the digital one could make for a gardening beater watch. But one thing I will say, is its so cool how you guys stateside have all these places with crazy cheap stuff. Enjoyable video mate
I recently developed a watch hobby and when i was passing by the watches counter at walmart i wanted to buy one. Then i remember that i hated battery type watch so i went on to TH-cam to search about walmart watches
I was just looking at the walmart website and getting jealous how cheap watches are over there. An automatic Timex marlin is almost half the price of what I can get them in Australia.
honex look just like a armitron pro sport witch aren't all that bad yeah they're cheap but the prosport watches by armitron are pretty ok for there price point if you want something that is digital Chrono with alarm and hour chime date timer ... and possibly a second time and a count up timer and good color combinations
when we were kids we stole a handfull of walmart watches and when we got home we were so disappointed in the quality and fake chrono dials we contemplated returning them 🤣 we ended up giving them away to homeless people

I purchased some watches for $9.99 and I just wanted to know if it was a good investment or not so far it seems that I'm not too happy with them that's all I have to say the last place I would ever buy a watch again I would rather have a Timex or Casio
I like the watches I have.. Casio, Versace, Biden Kenneth Cole Michael Kors Reaction watches, Nautica, American Exchange , Pintime, Swiss watches, and Bulova, Elgin from Walmart.. fossil watches Invicta, G Shock , Armitron from Walmart. Steve Madden ,
The red watch doesn’t have scratches that is plastic on the bezel. I noticed that the red watch was still in the original plastic it would have arrived in so don’t you even wear these watches?
Oh my god, ahah, this was terrible, I'm so grateful I have nicer pieces even tho they're still affordable, I mean even Ali Express watches for a bit more give you a ton of value in return

$8.88 seems to be the price of most Wal-Mart watches at my local store as well unless they get clearanced off.
They all tell time. I’m still wearing my A158 Casio. Timeless piece and has been my favourite out of all my watches

At the price you paid for those watches, the only real complaint is the styling. Some do look pretty awful.
