In this video, I talk about how I passed my AWS Security Specialty Exam.
Tips:
• Make sure you know the names of services (it’s very easy to confuse the names of the services because they all sound similar
• Make sure you understand the different services because some may sound like the they do the same thing. Understand the differences
• Do not book the exam until you are truly ready
• Understand the prevention methods AWS suggests to resolve security problems
• Make sure all information you study is currently up to date

thanks for sharing your experience. the fact that you did not have experience in security and pass is great. I am studying again to recertify. I passed the exam 3.5 years ago and just this July 2023 there is an update Security Specialty exam. looking forward to it all. thanks again

I thought it was just me, but the AWS Security exam has been hard to study for!! The practice exams I have purchased have been all over the place. Thank you for sharing your AWS exam experience. I have constantly rescheduled my AWS Security Specialty exam, because I have felt quite ready!

The fundamental weakness in AWS is in there traffic monitoring/analysis. AWS does not have a robust IPS/IDS solution. To be fair all of the cloud providers including Microsoft seem to be suspect when it comes to threat detection and response at the network layer.

Just passed SAA C03, would you say it’s significantly more studying to pass the security speciality. The security has always been my goal but it was recommended I study for the SAA first.

I definitely agree, I think it would’ve been way harder to pass without any background knowledge of another certification

Just wondering, if you had no previous experience in security, why did you take the exam?

My job offered to put me in study group to determine what resources they’d offer for free and this was the only interesting specialty associate level test offered to choose to take.
