Having lived near the Mahane Yehuda Shuk for many years, this video appears to have been taken on a Friday afternoon, just before Shabbat, which is why the market wasn't as full as it usually is during the week. In fact, it appears practically empty. The market is closed from at least one hour before "candle lighting" on Friday and all day on Saturday. Some stores may open on Saturday night, after the close of Shabbat (which is when you can see 3 stars).
