Holy crap CCC Maxon side loaders used to be my favorite garbage truck when I was a kid. It was over 15 years ago but I used to help the garbage man a lot when I was a kid. It was very funny because I'll throw the garbage in there and once in a great while they will let me in the cab and I even got to drive a garbage truck for 5 seconds. They would also keep my garbage truck drawings in the rabanco office. Dan, I used to call my trainer because he used to help me and show me how to push the buttons and levers and such. It was such a great time and I loved the people at rabanco. I was very sad when Allied Waste took it over. I was kind of a mascot. God bless and thank you for this I've been going through so many memories lately it's crazy. Where does the time go?
Ben Ferraiuolo man I know right? Rabanco had some of the coolest trucks in WA. So many great memories. There’s a few repainted Rabanco trucks still alive but only 2 left I believe. I have a bunch of old Rabanco truck pictures, if you have an email I’ll definitely send them to you
@@westcoastrefusetrucks sure man, I have a lot too. I recently uploaded my old footage of them. The footage isn't great, but the sounds of them bring back memories. Just visit my channel here. It should be one of the most recent videos. Also, my email is washingtonmagma@yahoo.com
Definitely did not expect to see another one of these mega models get created so soon haha awesome, awesome job. So cool to see a piece of equipment that can actually tip those mini Rehrigs. Ever since I got one of those, I've ALWAYS wanted to see a toy truck that could dump mini bins. Can't wait to see your next project! Awesome work!
WMmaster626 thank you! For me ever since I was young and got my first little standard WM mini bins I've always wanted to have a truck that can work with this size bin, and getting multiple versions of mini bin only increased that want over the years. When it came to building this it was very simple to decide that it had to have a tipper on it, and that was actually the very first thing I built before I even had built a single part of the truck yet. Someday it'd be cool to sort of outfit it with an automated arm but that's probably just going to be an excuse for a second msl honestly haha glad you enjoyed it
For a long time I've wanted to see a truck that was the right size for those corporate-promo mini bins, so by doing that alone you've captured my attention. But to make it one of my favorite bodies in refuse history, the square body MSL, complete with barn door tailgates and colors reminiscent of the EDCO trucks of my childhood...dare I say you've beat Mike's Western Waste truck in my eyes. The cart tipper really completes the package, especially with a "route" that is not fully carted nor fully manual. The angles are all excellent, but 5:26 takes the cake. I think it's akin to standing on top of a cart/electrical box when filming one of these in real life, and irritating the driver a great deal by sticking a camera right over his head. The cab could be better, but meh. Hardly an issue with such a kick-ass body. Overall you've done a fantastic job, and great timing, because (I'm very sorry to say), one of the last trucks that resembled this one, M340, has just been put out of service. I hope this truck of yours can make it's way into future videos/compilations, because I can't watch enough of it.
trashmonster26 thanks man. Glad you enjoyed this video so much. This truck definitely without a doubt falls a couple miles short of the western waste one that Mike did haha the cab was actually supposed to be about an inch lower to the ground, but I messed up and attached it too high up. On top of that I also made the windshield too tall so the whole cab is an inch too high off the ground and about 3/4" too tall lol oh well, this was my first attempt so I knew it wasn't going to be perfect. Next time I do something I'll pay more attention to details and what not
Wonderful model! The packer is probably the most fun thing to use and watch. You should find a way to sneak the battery on board. Perhaps in between the cab and body and cover it with the exhaust stack and add an air filter.
Stuart Alvarez thank you, yeah that's definitely something I've been trying to figure out. There's just no light weight car batteries that will fit unfortunately. Someday however that might change and I'll be able to do something like that with future projects
wmautoreach123 thank you! Rehrigs definitely work the best out of all the mini bins so far, I want to get my hands on some M series to see how those work as well and use them to make future videos as well
Wmofnmproductions I just essentially scaled down a real toter tipper, and the bags I just use small squares of real trash bag and I wrap the plastic around the paper a twist tie it together
Once again, I am speechless. Epic build, to say the least. So many things I could tell you that were amazing, but I'm sure you already realize them. One heck of a beast. Love how it tips real mini bins. Also, any idea where I could get some WOW ottos? Been looking for a while... Both you and Mike should be extremely proud of your handiwork and engineering skills.
Nice. Love the yellow color. I rewatched the vid, just blown away at how life-like the whole this is. I can imagine how epic it must be to play with :P Crushing the cups was awesome as well, I love how it is not only huge but powerful. Like bruders, they're big but are limited in the material that they can consume. Reading previous comments, I have an extra black SSI m-series + a full set. They have the exact same height as the Busch Systems and Rehrig minis. The interior of the pocket is also a bit smaller, but I predict they would work beautifully on your machine.
Brian Spencer yeah the packer is extremely powerful lol basically it's only limited by what can fit/smash into it. It'll sooner break the side walls of the truck than the hydraulics will stop. And that's awesome, always liked the M series minis. I'd assume they'd work really well as well
This is the BEST video I have seen on TH-cam. The truck is AMAZING. This thing got powa. Too bad you cant go around buying these off of Amazon or Walmart. Do you sell these things? I'm also looking forward to seeing a ASL Side loader with a split body.
I really have to wonder were does everyone get these mini bins? I some how have 3 of them and dont even remember how I got them... I tried looking on ebay and amazon cant find much... Anyways nice invention thats so cool!
My five year old son is absolutely obsessed with your truck. He’s been asking us if we can message/comment and ask if you “please have any instructions or tips on how to build this or one like this? Thank you!”
Simco Barker TrashTrucks thank you! This ran me about 250$ for the hydraulics, about 80$ in paint, and probably 100-150$ for the wood (using the cheapest, lowest quality wood I could find), so it's quite expensive
Oh yes please thank you! 😊 😊😊😊 how I to have this machine item in my location most quickly!? Please post office to my domicile at future time. 288 treetop circle Pyongyang nk
i want this truck and why i want this truck listen i want my all my years a strong garbage truck but i have anythimg to build one thats why pls give away to someoneor me

just an idea, you could have the battery like on a separate skate board cruising on the other side, so you can roll it with the truck
Awesome truck! I love all the carts you used! I couldn't build something that good with just wood, I'd have to use Legos! Lol
Chicagoland Refuse Documentation haha thanks. This definitely took lots of patience
I would assume!
Chicagoland Refuse Documentation hevsv
You should make a Bridgeport ranger awesome vid man
Very awesome video!! I was thrilled to see that you put a tipper on it! Rehrigs go pretty good with this truck.
wmautoreach123 thank you! Rehrigs definitely work the best out of all the mini bins so far, I want to get my hands on some M series to see how those work as well and use them to make future videos as well
