Urban Agriculture in California

Urban agriculture is proliferating across the state of California on both public and private lands. Learn from UC Agriculture and Natural Resources advisor Rachel Surls and other California experts how urban farms are transforming the landscape of food production, helping to address urban food insecurity, creating opportunities for micro-enterprise development, and educating our youth and the public about the value of growing and eating healthy foods. I wish we had more local farms using sustainable agriculture, like permaculture. With commercial agriculture and fishing, so much food is wasted, land destroyed, resources depleted, taste and nutrition diminished, all for greed.

I've seen many urban gardens/farms and I don't like them at all. I think most of them fail, for obvious reasons.
