WOW. This is my house and you somehow tuned right into what I would like! Taking down the wall to the kitchen would be SO good because the space just isn't big enough with how it's configured now. You even managed to give my kids bedroom colors they would like! This is a beautiful job and I was cheering on your decisions the whole time lol. Thank you so much! I'm going to show my family when they get home haha
As someone that's currently renovating his own home; I have some advice for whenever you consider to renovate: - save enough money to do big things at once. For example, if you want new flooring in the next few years, it's better to do it while it's in reno. - have your plumbing checked BEFORE renovating. Often old plumbing needs to get replaced putting your budget on a blast. If you have them checked before hand, you won't have a nasty surprise. Same for electric wires. - try to keep your plumbing as much as where it already is. Recolating plumbing costs a LOT of money.
Yay! I’m so glad you saw it and liked it! Thanks for submitting, I had heaps of fun. Also that’s amazing the kids colours are actually something they would like 🤣❤️👍🏼 reno or not it’s a lovely home 🏡 xx
That’s so cool! Let’s have a series : “Dream Home Decorator in real life” 😂 It could be a cute idea , jumping here and there on the gallery and renovate buildings! 💕
I love how Deli begins conservative then is like, just knock down this wall and add a deck! 😂 Anyone who has ever built their home in the Sims then renovated it has started out saying “I’m just going to do a tiny reno” then spends 100k simoleons. It’s so relatable.
One more comment: Definitely think this should be a series! I think that when the houses are uploaded, the user lists whether they want it to be a budget renovation or if money doesn't matter.
I love this! Definitely needs to be a new series. Maybe people who submit can put in the description whether they want it to be a realistic Reno or dream Reno. I think that would help Deli with the decision making. She was trying soooo hard to be kind with every single decision 😅
Deli!! This was my idea I commented to you! I was amazed with how beautiful your interior decorating is and wanted you to come give my house some life/inspiration. Please do my house in the future! And make this a series!! I’m so excited your doing it! 😆❤️
Architect Comment: love it, opening up the floor plan was a good choice, the only thing I would have done, is not have the toilet link with the kitchen, I would have left it as a storage/mud room. 💝
I came to say this too. I'm not an architect but in NZ I think we have a building law that says there needs to be 2 doors/corners between a bathroom and a kitchen. Something like that. But totally love the build!
I am currently renovating and this reno isn’t ridiculous by IRL standards. Now adding a room can be expensive as well as taking the wall down between the kitchen since more than likely load bearing (based on the orientation of the roof). But this looks fantastic and honestly could be realistic!! Great job!
I think if you had a fairly unlimited budget, this could totally be doable IRL, I agree! I think you'd just need a support beam across the ceiling to open up that wall, for sure...expensive, but doable. I think overall the house kept it shell and integrity which I love!
@@Pastel00Peach absolutely agree!! I just took the wall out between part of my kitchen and living room. It didn’t cost much but I am fortunate enough to be able to do it myself.
Such a fun video! I find it interesting how all the simmers i watch make on suite bathrooms. It's NOT a thing at all in my country, maybe if you're like veryyy rich. But all bathrooms are just like for everyone here and never connected to a bedroom. Always interesting with trends in architecture and design.
Same, I would say the standard here is one bathroom/floor. Maybe a half on one floor and a full on the other, depending on size of the house and when ut was built.
Ohhhh, really? Where do you live? I'm from the states but live in Belize, and it's more common than not to have an en suite for the main room, less so for the other rooms. In old homes, there are generally not any en suites, and sometimes the whole house then shares one bathroom!
This was so much fun! I think it people could choose how realistic the renovation would be? I'm definitely leaving the video wanting you to do my home next!
I built my family’s home a couple months ago! I got it as accurate as possible, but I without the option of “half tiles” when building, the scale is slightly off 🤦🏼♀️ but I was so proud of it!
i’ve been using the sims and heaps of CC to help my mother plan and envision an extension and some furniture renovation of our small house in Ireland so i love this video idea!!!
In order to take the wall down it has to be a non-supporting wall. Also, it is more cost effective to keep water and gas lines where they are. So putting the bathroom on the opposite side of the wall the sink is would be best. In order to make it fair everyone would change rooms. one teen would get the new room and parents' old room goes to the other giving the parents the bigger room and the teens a more equal size ones
I love this idea! And if you make it a series you can have the people who submit specify whether they want the more realistic or fantasy type reno so we’d get a mix.
I love this idea for a series. I would maybe ask subscribers to choose an option - if they want a redecoration, a realistic renovation, or the deli special, where you get to do whatever you want. 💕
I’d love to see this turn into a series! It was fun. It would be great for people to include what kind of styles they like in the description and constrains and budgets. And if they want deli to keep the renovation realistic or just go all out!
I'm not an architect but my whole family has been flipping houses since I was little, so I can tell you opening the kitchen is great but you'd definitely still need some support for the roof. The people who had our house before us took out some basement support and now our upstairs tile is cracking all over. Imagine that but the roof? Bad. But open plan is also a super common style in the US, and I think it would be really nice in a smaller house like this edit: so sorry I just noticed how i repeated myself and fixed it 🙈

That's actually a pretty cool concept.
This was a fun video and I'd like to see more of these. I want to submit my house because I'm totally lost on how to decorate it and make it all look cohesive and pretty. I don't have much of an eye for style and I tend to like a variety of things that don't really fit together. So I'd love to have someone else give it a shot, lol.
This house was gorgeous buuuttttt I need to know where your jumper is from! Can't stop looking at it
Not Deli with two toilets in the ensuite! this idea is so cool, would love to see more~
you should definitely do this again, but i think the budget/restrictions should be declared by the person requesting the reno!
Best concept ever. Gonna make a submission.
i love the series, we need more!!
